The food at Redstone was delicious but a bit overprice. The location is nice because it's waterfront. My favorite were the Jumbo Buffalo Shrimp Wings but they were $19 for 5, which I found to be overprice. The menu was limited but the options were good. I had the BBQ Salmon tacos and my hubby had a sandwich. I also ordered a margarita which was $12. We also ordered a desert for $9. Overall I would visit this place again.

This was a great place for brunch and there was a variety of items you can choose to eat. I would give this restaurant 5 stars bc the crab Benedict was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! However the customer service was horrible. We pretty much had to request or physically find our waiter. The service was just poor. So bad that I left him 2% tip along with a written tip on the receipt!!

I've had two great experiences at Redstone! My 28th birthday happened to include a two week newborn baby! So, we were looking for a low key restaurant to grab a good bite to eat, and pray to the baby gods that she didn't wake up. After extensive research, Redstone seemed like it would fit the bill. We went right when they opened at 11 am, and were promptly seated next to the water. Talk about a nice view! The decor is dark, yet still cozy. A small complaint is that the bathrooms are so dark, I was joking with another patron that I could barely see what I was doing in there! They accommodated baby with a car seat sling, and maybe this is standard, but being new parents we were impressed! Our server was friendly, and we quickly placed our order (remember we have a limited time with a sleeping baby on our hands lol). I opted for a classic cheeseburger, and my husband ordered a flatbread pizza. Our food didn't take long to come out, and was absolutely delicious. The burger was thick and juicy, with equally tasty fries. My husband raved about his flat bread pizza, although he didn't find it too filling. The only thing I didn't like about the meal was my drink. Their tea is nasty! When I went to the restroom, I noticed (and smelled) the delicious rotisserie chickens roasting right before me very eyes. Man, I wouldn't mind sinking my teeth into that! The hubs surprised me with an order of their delicious chocolate chip cookie in a skillet with ice cream for dessert! I went back a second time a couple of weeks later with my brother and good friends, and this time we sat outside. It's seat yourself, and they were kind enough to lower the awning for me so that baby didn't get direct sunlight (yes she was already covered with a stroller blanket). Service was a bit slower this time, even though we went before the lunch rush. We felt forgotten from time to time. This time I opted for a house salad, and told my brother to go for the rotisserie chicken. Again the food did not disappoint! We also had an order of their shrimp and calamari, and skillet cornbread for starters. Everyone ate well, and missy waited to cry until after lunch! Redstone has done me a solid!

The view and atmosphere is very nice. Especially for a nice summer day like today. We got a seat with a great view looking at the Ferris wheel and harbor. 1. The food is OKAY. It's a little better than average. I can imagine that everyone who eats here is dining for the view. 2. The waiters drop everything everywhere and its gross because it was ketchup and it flew from where he was all the way across two tables and did not even acknowledge that he dropped it. The ketchup got on a mans shirt and on my boyfriends arm and shirt. They're lucky that these people are nice because ketchup on white shirts is a big no in my books. 3. I think Wendy's fries are better than theirs. But the general tsos turkey burger was very moist and pretty good. I think this place deserved two stars but my boyfriend said it deserves 3.5 or 4. I'll compromise with 3.

I need to leave two reviews here, one for the front of the house and one for the back (the chefs). I've been to this restaurant several times now, since I live in the area. But this review is based on today's visit. (mostly). For the front: I've seen truck stops and sleazy diners better managed than this place. When we walked in today, the front area was filled to overflowing with people waiting to be seated. We were told the wait would be 30 min. But the bar seats were empty so the hubby and I sat at the bar. I noticed immediately the empty tables around us, not only in the bar area but in the front dining room as well. I couldn't see the back by the water so I'll give them benefit of the doubt and assume they were full. But that left, to my count, at least 10 tables empty and waiting for butts to fill them. This has been the case every time I've been in this restaurant...it's ALWAYS like that. Always empty tables, and long waits at the door. When you do get seated the hostess moves at a glacier pace as though leading slugs. I swear the last time, I thought she was moving backward. No wonder the wait is so long, it takes 10 min just to walk to your table! (ok, slight exaggeration there but you get what I mean). They all move like that. Nobody is in a hurry to do anything at all. Today, I figured at first they are simply under-staffed for whatever reason. (This is a Saturday, mind you, and the Harbor was packed with people. Very, very busy everywhere). Then I noticed a group of 5 employees, in uniform, in the front dining area (you know, the one with empty tables). They were laughing and joking, and as I watched...a guy marched in with an armload of pizza boxes. The employees set upon them immediately with glee. Yes, the hungry patrons could not be seated because the employees were having a pizza party in the FRONT DINING ROOM in front of the window where everyone could see (and hear). I'll leave you to make your own conclusions about that... (If I were a first time customer I would assume the food sucks, and that management doesn't care about customer service nor customer opinions since all the hungry people waiting in the vestibule starved while the employees enjoyed food NOT from the restaurant.) I looked around, and noticed 3 more staff in the bar area chatting and laughing amongst themselves while three customers sitting at the bar were ignored so long they got up and left. I saw another three at the back register chit chatting and laughing amongst themselves. None of these employees seemed much bothered to do anything at all. Perhaps they had nothing to do, since nobody was being seated? I dunno. Seems odd. Seems the reason this place exists is for the delight of the staff. The only reason I can imagine they are always so busy is that the Harbor attracts so many tourists...so not a lot of repeat business? And as you might expect, the food took a loonnnnggggg time to come out. Moving on to the Back of the House: As for the food...I ordered jerk chicken fondue (my absolute favorite thing at this restaurant) and the hubby ordered the Prime Dip. The fondue had obviously been sitting around in the kitchen because it had a film on the top. The guy who brought it never bothered to light the candle underneath so it got cold quickly. That said, it tasted as good as always, and the chicken was fantastic as always. The sandwich was great, the au jus was yum, and the fries were good. Thin, crispy, very tasty. So I give the place 2 stars (as did the hubby) because the food was actually pretty good, and because we actually did GET the food (since we sat ourselves at the bar). I felt guilty eating it while the people by the door waited, but...well, we were starving! By the way, when I lived in Philly Redstone was my favorite restaurant...so if you get the chance to go to a different location do give them a try. The one in King of Prussia has excellent service and management. This one? Well...

We came for brunch based on some of the reviews we saw on Yelp, even though some reviews were not favorable. Based on the waiter's recommendation, we ordered the pancakes and the crab benedict. It took 20 mins to get coffee and 40 mins to get our food, I actually had to ask the waiter for an update on our order. The sausage that came with the pancakes were not cooked all the way through (it was pink in the middle). The waiter said they soak the sausage in au jus overnight which changes the color of the meet inside and that they were completely cooked. Seemed like none of the servers cared. Service was very slow and only the crab benedict was good. The only way this restaurant will stay in business is by having fresh infusion of new customers- we will not be back.

Hmmmm, what can I say about my experience at Redstone? Good but pricey food and friendly but slow service. After reading more than one review, I don't understand why this restaurant can't hire more staff. I mean, there were dirty plates and cups everywhere! In the waiting area, on the tables, at the bar, etc. If my sister and I weren't offered seats at the bar immediately upon entry, it would of been a wrap for us! If you can't maintain your dining area, what does the kitchen look like? IJS But we sat at the bar anyway once two gentleman offered us their seats. There was a bunch of people surrounding the bar, waiting to prance on an open seat and we got lucky. Or maybe it was the sundresses we were wearing...it does help to be a female in this area! Lol. The nice gentlemen ordered us drinks right away and they must of been there a while and developed a liking to one female bartender because we didn't have to wait long for our mango rum runners. They were tasty. I couldn't help notice the HATE of the other patrons though. It looks like they had been waiting for days for drinks or food or just a simple nod from the bartenders. The place was pretty rowdy for a Saturday night. We were surrounded by men and they acted like vultures. Sometimes you just want to get out with your sister and eat and talk. We had fun but not sure if we'll be back on a Saturday night. Our food was delicious. We started with the buffalo shrimp with ranch dressing. Then for our meals, I had the salmon cake sandwich and my sister had the salmon tacos. My salmon patty was good and the aioli sauce made it better. I couldn't eat the large kaiser roll it was served on. When we were getting ready to leave, I couldn't help but notice the stacks of plates on the tables STILL. Craziness. Then I got a text that our table was ready. Ha! My sister had put our name on the list in case we didn't want to eat at the bar...two hours prior! The view of the water and ferris wheel were beautiful as the sun set.

Had a quick dinner here the other evening. Great location. Right on the water with great views. Would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the outdoor seating! Food and drinks were good. Nothing I'm gonna scream to the rooftop about, but it was decent and I have no complaints. Overall this place is good. I think the main attraction though is the location/views of the Marina/Harbor. Good date night!! Hint, Hint to all the fellas!!

Came here on a Saturday night with a couple friends. We were hoping to get a seat outside, but a high-top beside the bar opened right when we go there so we grabbed it. The place was packed, just like every other place in National Harbor. We live right on the other side of the river, but we don't come over often as everything is very overpriced, you have to pay to park, and a lot of security shows up as it gets later which makes me think it is not too safe. We decided to get key lime pie as a dessert to share. That thing was huge, bigger than my hand. Plenty for 4 people to share and I ever took some home. Great light lime flavor and a delicious nutty crust. We were sitting by the door to outside, so I saw lots of plates going by and everything looked really good. I think half the people on the patio ordered the buffalo shrimp. It would be a great place to watch the sunset.

I learned of this place through Yelp last week and decided to pop in for mother's day. After spending a few hours at the National Harbor, we turned to Redstone to refuel. I wanted to do outdoor seating but was fearful that it was for "bar" patrons only. However, the hostess assured me that my toddler would be fine in the outdoor space, so long as he will do okay in the high "bar stool" like chairs. (Note, if you don't like sitting high, then outdoors may not be for you). Since we went during brunch, we were given a special brunch menu. My pics of the food are below. Let me just say that the portions are healthy and everything was tasty. My husband (who has a phenomenal palate) believed that his plate could've been more seasoned, but he still enjoyed what he ate. We took some home and ate for breakfast the next day.

My mother had the Turkey Club, that was some of the juiciest meat! I enjoyed the salad with chicken and bacon, very nice size salad. The dressing was the right amount. We also ordered a crab dip for the table which I really enjoyed also. Service was great. Your bill can creep up quick if you aren't careful here.

The Sunday Brunch here is so delicious. My sister and I came right around the time they open and 10am and got seated right away. All the staff were extremely nice especially our waitress Candise. We had the pancakes. The portions are more than one person can eat. We sat on the back patio and the view was amazing.

ATMOSPHERE: It's beautiful here. Right next to the water and with outdoor seating. On a nice day, you can see the boats passing by and all the people walking by. Even if you sit inside, you can sit by the windows and see out. It's really pretty. FOOD: The GOOD Complimentary "breakfast bread/cake" for every table. It's this delicious buttery, moist blueberry cake with a golden crust. It comes with a giant blob of butter and cream cheese drizzle. It's delicious. One per table so make sure you share if you have a lot of people. If you go with one other person... then enjoy! I found brunch to be good but not mind blowing. I thought the choices were fairly limited. I got the Crab Cake Benedict, my friends got the Pancakes and the Red Stone Breakfast. Everything tasted good. THE BAD No other meat option available for breakfast except for pork. My friend that could not eat pork had to substitute for a side of hasbrowns.... I would think at a nice place like this a pork substitute would not be that hard to do and wouldn't be too much to ask. A side of "fruit" is like 3 pieces of strawberries. I like how they give you giant plates of carbs like the pancakes but skimp out on the healthy fruits. It was more of a garnish than a "side of fruit." SERVICE: Our waiter was very nice. He was stern with us but nice. He brought us everything we asked for but didn't care for any additional talking. Overall, beautiful place to eat but food for me was good, not great.

Been here about 3 or 4 times for date night. Im not sure why 3 stars but Ive definitely had 4/5 star food .. service 3/4, just depending on how busy they are. Great Drinks... the sangria is great . I have had both red and white. And they are both awesome. My hubby gets the same thing every time ........... the rotisserie chicken and baby back platter with rice and spinach ( he changes the sides I believe the usually come with slaw and fries) . The chicken is soooooo moist, well seasoned and juicy . The ribs are great, they hold together so they are not fall apart messy, but tender. I have had several dishes here all equally tasty. Lets see Ive had the full rack ribs, the turkey burger & steak cobb salad. Seriously all were were yummy, not one bad, cold over done or under done anything. Always perfection. We always start with the corn bread, it has jalapenos but not spicy at all, it comes with some great maple flavored butter. If you can MAKE A RESERVATION !! There is no call a head. If you dont have a reservation during peak dinner hours Friday, Saturday or Sunday then you will be told 1 1/2 - 2 hours . They take your phone number and they will call you. We usually take this time to either hit the bar up or walk around the Harbor. The service can be spotty but never horrible because they fall on the 1 person takes your order but there are 3 of us assigned to this area. So if its busy ... you can get lost in the chaotic-ness of it all. I cant wait to come here in the summer and maybe get some outdoor seating. This is a great date night location. On the water, great food, great atmosphere, great lighting. Not to over dressed, not to casual. You know jeans and a nice shirt with nice shoes. Not suit and tie but not tennis shoes either.

Other than the views of the potamac & the National Harbor ambiance the venue itself wasn't anything special. Pricey obviously because it's at the harbor but it's like eating at a spruced up Applebees. Food was ok. Their customer service not good. Weren't acknowledged when we arrived to meet friends. We had to call them and ask where they were sitting. Front staff young and or uninterested. Hubby is allergic to shellfish and it was announced prior to ordering yet they cooked foods clearly in same grease or equipment because he sure did get sick after eating a few bites. Their manager was unprofessional, unapologetic rude when addressing the issue argued that the waiter must've not known. Never going back. Crowded.

Redstone truly has a prime spot at the National Harbor. My girlfriends and I have dropped in many times since we're normally participating in some exercise activity on the property. During the day, it's laid back and people often come here to celebrate. I've sung happy birthday, cheered for engagements, and offered an appreciative clap for deployments in support of fellow patrons. The last time I was here for date night, we took a second to admire the Harbor's 65' Christmas tree before entering. The dim lighting, great views of docked boats, and the Capital Wheel establishes a more romantic atmosphere. Consistent with its name, this restaurant features dialed up American comfort food. I've had their famous buffalo jumbo shrimp, lodge (skillet) cornbread, salads, chicken marsala, salmon, and the salmon burger. The buffalo shrimp were succulent and cornbread w/maple butter apps are flavorful, but rich. Despite many others experience, my table service experience has been good although bar service is hit or miss--nothing egregious though. Prices are on par for the location. There are several items that I'm looking forward to trying including brunch.

The atmosphere was great and the wait staff was really nice. The ahi tuna was way too peppery, and rendered the tuna difficult to eat without water. It was good though, but that was off putting. Otherwise, the margarita flatbread was delicious and there are no complaints about our experience.

Ate breakfast here while attending Katsucon at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Nice interior with a modern wood grain look. Was not busy at the time of my arrival and I went with the Redstone breakfast. The eggs were buttery fluffy and perfect, hash browns were great with a unique borderline mashed flavor. Toast was fine with a unique very runny strawberry jelly. The bacon ended up being a disappointment with little flavor and small portion size. Nice pleasant server and the food arrived in a respectable amount of time. Overall issue of the meal was the price vs. portion, for what I paid it didn't look like three eggs and received at best two slices of bacon. I might return to eat here again but explore the menu.

I'm a frequent visitor to the National Harbor, since it's on my way to and from my office. With any location at the harbor, whether it be a bar or restaurant, I'd expect higher pricing. To be honest, I don't mind the price hike, it's normally a beautiful place to have a happy hour. I've been to Redstone a handful of times and I'm quite impressed at the food quality. Buffalo Shrimp is where it's at, along with the shrimp & calamari (don't eat the fried "vegetable," it's actually a fried lemon), and the cornbread where they provide a ridiculous amount of sweet butter to go with, is always a great way to appetize you before you dig into the main dish. I would have given this place 5 stars but one thing that I can shake off and pisses me off the most, is the lack of GOOD SERVICE. Now, there are a handful of ok servers, and a pinch of good servers...the rest, including most of the bartenders, can be very rude. For lack of a better term, it seems like this location seeks to hire the HOODEST of their applicants. Granted, the National Harbor is, in fact, in PG County, but I've found that most other restaurants have a handle on their employee's rolling eye's, unpleasant attitudes, impatience towards guests. I live in Clinton, MD...some may say it's kind of dangerous, I don't really disagree. With that being said, when I walk into any place that I've never been to, I do KINDOF expect to get less than average service. THANKFULLY, that's not usually the case. In my area, I may expect bad service for it to match the pricing and the location. If I'm in National Harbor, servers and bartenders should have the courtesy training necessary to serve the "Upscale" customer, even if you have Joe Schmoe that doesn't usually treat him and his wife to the more costly things in life. I'm no Joe Schmoe and I been around the world enough to know what good service is (which usually correlates directly to pricing). The bottom line with this place is, the food is undoubtedly good, the service factor is on the completely opposite end of this rating scale.

We came in with my parents and didn't have a reservation for a Sunday morning. They took us right away which was a huge positive. The breads they start you out with were awesome -- just know that this isn't a muffin, it's a proper full bread. Good stuff -- and great start to the meal. I thought the food was just fine. We had a nice meal, good ambiance and we'll be going back during the summer when we can sit on the patio and have drinks.

More like 2.5 stars. Not a bad experience at all, but thoroughly underwhelming. Waited about 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday evening, which was OK considering wait times at other nearby restaurants were 90+ minutes! Ordered a beer, wedge of cornbread with maple butter, and Smokehouse Steak Cobb Salad. Beer took forever to arrive and wasn't very cold, indicating it was probably sitting for a while before the server picked it up. Cornbread was very good. Salad was average, nothing really special but tasted fine. Steak was requested medium-rare and arrived closer to medium-well. Server was attentive and pleasant enough, but didn't seem to be overly thrilled to be there. The decor is nice, but we were seated in a large booth that was poorly lit, making it tough to even read the menu. Prices are reasonable. Overall not bad, but nothing special, and there are surely other restaurants in National Harbor that can deliver something more memorable for the same price.

I have only been to Redstone twice but I absolutely love it. It is located right by the water at the National Harbor making it a great date night or night out with close friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating for your preference as well as two bars. Redstone has a limited menu but even though there isn't much to choose from, the food is incredible. My favorite dish is the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer. It is absolutely incredible. So flavorful, a little spicy, and the shrimp they use are HUGE! Every time I have come here I have seen almost half the restaurant order this appetizer so you know it is good! When I went to Redstone last night, my friend ordered the meatloaf which came with mashed potatoes and veggies while I had the crab cakes that came with a delicious aioli sauce and Old Bay fries. I opted out on the fries this time and went with a side of seasonal veggies, which were $2.00 extra might I add and they were stingy with the serving size ugh. The crab cakes are so good though; no filler at all, great sear, and the aioli sauce just tops it all off. I have had the Old Bay fries on my first visit and I must say, I can never look at regular old fries the same. I NEED OLD BAY!!! Haha. Where have you been all my lifeeee? My friend loved the meatloaf and I tried some of the mashed potatoes which were whipped to perfection! Great job on the food! No issues there! For our drinks, we both had mango rum runners and they were soooooooooo ...... WEAK I was so disappointed. When we asked the server if the drinks could be made a little stronger next time, he claimed that the drinks were meant to be blended not strong. Ummmmmmmmmmmm OKAY! Ha. Whatever that means. So we were a little tipsy but more juiced up than anything lol. I definitely won't try any of their other craft cocktails after that explanation. I came to drank not drank juice! Overall, I love Redstone. Great view; we sat outside right next to the water so it was very peaceful and nice to watch the sunset. They have great customer service but I do think they need to train their staff a little more. If you are spending more than $150 on the bill, please have your staff suggest items from your menu with enthusiasm and excitement, please make sure their attire is clean and not full of stains, pleaseeeeeeee make sure your servers are attentive. I mean am I asking for too much. One server was asked by a woman behind us, "What would you suggest"...She told her, "Oh the alfredo is 'pretty good' and the crab cakes are 'pretty good'" Pretty good? I'm sorry but I did not choose your establishment over all these other restaurants for "pretty good" food. Smh. But yes, it was great, the food is flawless. Just a few kinks to work out and five stars is definitely in order. Favs: Buffalo Shrimp Would Change: Craft Cocktails Speech, Ha!

What can i say about red stone First of all they have the best jumbo shrimp in town and it's a must have Calamari is a good starter but when i came i ordered shrimp and calamari and some salad for me and my wife and she was very happy with it As for the place the view is marvelous and it's perfect for a date night but i think it's a pricey place

After looking through the reviews for restaurants in National Harbor I got the feeling that this is a typically convention 'town' or bubble. It exists around all convention centers and certainly does here. There are restaurants and establishments that are generally very OK and charge too much. They all feed off the crowds of people that are somewhat trapped by their hotel and convenience. Redstone is not like that. Don't get me wrong it's not cheap. However, the food was excellent. It was very easy to make a reservation and even move it 30 minutes on a Wednesday night (start of the convention so not a light night). We got a table by the windows facing the harbor and ferris wheel which was a nice view at sunset. To start things off we had some drinks and the chicken fondue. It sounds strange, but was very good. Everything on the plate tasted great dunked in molten cheese. Ok so maybe it doesn't sound strange at all. I had the flank steak on special. I'm not usually a flank steak fan because it's cheap steak that is already cut up for you to hide the gristle. These guys prepared it quite well, cooked it perfectly, and paired it with an excellent sauce. The fries that were included were just larger than shoestring, perfectly crispy and very well salted. An excellent dish. My wife and a friend both had the Parmesan crusted walleye with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Wow that was good. Excellent breading/crust, fish was tender and flaky, asparagus was cooked well and not stringy, and the mashed potatoes were perfect. Plus it was enough food that I would be full, the ladies both had leftovers. The last dish we had was the chicken flatbread. I think it was thai chicken, but I can't find the dish on the website. Very tasty. Cheesy, chickeny, thai-y, flatbready. All good things. All in all, definitely give this place a try for dinner if you are here.

Wow - a great experience! It's a great location on the water at National Harbor over in the MD side of NOVA/DC. Service was very good. A number of very good beers on tap. I sat at the bar and at the suggestion of my waitress, I had the cornbread and maple butter as a stater. I like cornbread a bit but had some doubts when I ordered. It was really GREAT. A moist cornbread mixed with the maple flavored butter was beyond awesome. I also had the chicken flat bread that was good, not great. Pricing was pretty good for the location. There are a number of dining choices at National Harbor, but I recommend Redstone and would come back again.

Service was OK. Rotisserie chicken was salty and luke warm. The asparagus had a nice charcoal taste. We also had the shrimp and corn chowder which was also luke warm. With a beer, soda and tip, total was ~$44. Not cheap but not unreasonable either. Food wasnt horrible but nothing to write home about. Probably wont be back.

So on a rainy night we decide to hit up the National Harbor. After a nice ride on the Capital Wheel we went to Redstone to eat. The set up was pretty cool. They have an outside bar with plenty of space to sit as well as a inside bar. There were plenty of tables set up so you could see the beautiful view of the marina area, the bridge, very pretty and scenic. We went on a Friday night so there was a 20 min wait for the table. Not too bad considering the area we were in is always busy. We waited at the bar and ordered a few drinks and a appetizer. Started with the Strawberry Mojito with Champagne. Nothing can make this places food better. It was phenomenal. These three star reviews have me scratching my head. My girlfriend and I had the chicken fondue, corn bread, steak house salad, and baba salmon tacos. Five stars, period. Great view too. Can't beat that. Looks like some of these reviews were from ONE. BD experience. Also depends on time of place you go and which waitresses etc you give. Because ours were amazing. All the staff in the kitchen looked organized and so did the runners. Very friendly. We went prime dinner rush time on a Saturday. There were a couple babies there but It can't be helped. I just wish they would yell at people for keeping their baby on the tables...ghetto.. Last but not least the store should have a more specific five star worthy name...when I walked by it I was impressed. I really came for the view and was expecting Applebee's status because I hadn't researched the place. I give them one star for employee management. That's when they can improve. They need to give them breaks during a shift longer than six hours.

Looking for a good place for brunch well look no further and may I suggest ordering a Bloody Mary which comes with quite the garnish - there is pepperjack cheese/celery/olive/pickle/hot pepper - it doesn't get much better than that! Oh and can we talk about their 'breakfast bread' - when we ate there they had Pumpkin Spice for the holiday season and can I just say YUM!!!! It was so delicious!! And their menu was quite diverse though they didn't have a ton of vegetarian options - also it would be awesome if they had turkey bacon! If you are in National Harbor for a 5K/10K then they open early so check them out!!!

My favorite experience at Redstone started on a late rainy day afternoon with just the two of us. Who needs a crowd to have fun? We enjoyed the appetizers like the calamari and peppers and sipped on our drinks outside on the patio. We hid out under the covered area until another larger table opened up and we stayed for the beautiful sunset. Then our friends slowly started showing up and we ended up ordering dinner and more drinks. Salads, flatbreads, Pesto Crusted Halibut? Yes please. Not sure I could have fit in the mega platter of burgers/shrimp/steak and more but if you're up for it, do it! It attracted attention from the curbside. This was the start to a few more bar stops and drinks - overall, a fabulous night.

Three and a half stars for good food but extremely inexperienced service... she was still trying to push the buffalo jumbo shrimp app while we were making our selections without hesitation. Ice water and silverware had to be requested multiple times each, and one of our apps was forgotten. Plenty of parking nearby, nice view of the pizza oven en route to clean bathrooms, good amount of tellies inside and out, popular patio seating. The only disappointing food item was the short rib flatbread: crust was so thin that the reasonably tasty toppings turned each serving heavily soggy. Lobster bisque was just thick enough for its flavors to satisfy. 16 oz bone-in ribeye and pork tenderloin were both cooked to requested temps, with nice sear on each. The latter's blackberry jus went well with the sweet potato mash, and the caramelized pear slices and carrots were still al dente. Props on executing it to maintain more savory than sweet. Moderately garlicky mashed potatoes, but I'd skip the skillet of mac and cheese-- light browning over a semi-broken sauce. Seasonal veggies paired nicely. Not enthused about returning, but an option I'd be amenable to if I were in the area again. Future hit list: shrimp and sweet corn chowder, rotisserie chicken flatbread, smokehouse steak Cobb salad, pesto crusted halibut, other steaks.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Although a little pricey (as everything in the Harbor is) the food was delicious and we were seated with a waterfront view. We ordered the jerk chicken fondue appetizer, which came quickly and was amazing! It could have been enough for a meal. I also had the rotisserie turkey sandwich which was great. The turkey was fresh and it is a sandwich that I cannot wait to have again. It was overpriced for a simple sandwich but at least it was delicious. I will definitely be returning back here.

Excellent service (always), top notch drinks, and great food. I almost never leave without getting the key lime pie (it tastes homemade and is enough for two people). Their buffalo shrimp is amazing. I think every table in our section ordered it as an appetizer. Lastly their burgers are fantastic. I haven't had a bad experience here yet. I'll be back within a few weeks as always I'm sure.

Just had a bummed out experience. It just was bad at the start. Nobody greeted us at the desk. I ordered a cocktail and then they came back and said that they didnt have what I wanted in stock. The other cocktail that we ordered was just bad. The chairs on the patio were uncomfortable. I ordered my meal and the manager (who was super nice) came back 15 mins later to tell me that they didn't have what I wanted. Ended up ordering a turkey burger. It took 1 hour 15 mins for our food to come from the time we sat down. My friends dinner dinner cane out cold. It was a great view, just a bad experience.

Service is really beginning to lack at this establishment. My husband and I like the ambience here but they are in desperate need of extra servers here. The food is hit or miss varying on the time of day or night you come. Overall, they keep a steady crowd but could definitely use more knowledgable servers and bartenders.

My fiancé and I dined at this restaurant last night 5/23/15. This was our 4th or 5th time visiting. In the past the service has been hit or miss, but because we had family visiting we decided it would be nice to dine on the lido deck. When we sat down, we were told that Johnathan would be our waiter. After sitting or over 10 minutes, another waiter finally came by and brought us water and once again we were told that our waiter Johnathan would be over. I had the feeling that the one waiter who refused to even make eye contact, was our waiter, and I was right, When Johnathan finally came over, he had the audacity to have an attitude and claimed that he informed us that he would be right over. What a bold face lie. Then he went on to say that if we wanted a different waiter he would get one. Talk about good customer service, he definitely lack the skills. To make a long story short, the manager offered us a free appetizer and had I known that it would take over an hour to get our food, I would have ordered an additional appetizer. When our food did arrive it was cold. My guess is, if you complain, this is how your treated. The overall experience was a nightmare. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. If you don't like your job, get another one. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this restaurant again or refer any of my friends or family either.

It was a Monday night and I had paid $11 for parking for my best friend's surprise engagement at the Harbor. When I realized that even though I hadn't been there an hour and I had to pay $11 I was gonna eat there and get my monies worth. I tried to go to Nando's but they ran out of chicken!!!! Imagine that! Redstone looked like a cool place so I head there. It was like 9 PM on a Monday, not too busy anf geez I know it's just me but can I get some good service? My waitress left a lot to be desired. She didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered and barely ever checked on me. I ordered mashed potatoes and the Rotisserie Chicken Chopped salad with Caesar dressing. Mashed potatoes were alright I guess and my salad was decent, would have been better if I had some avocado in it, but they don't have any. I asked and she said they stopped carrying them, I guess?!?! She offered me some strawberry lemonade which I said sure to even though I mainly drink water. Well I ate and drank, and my glass was empty for a good minute, by the time she came back to check on me I was done and ready for a box to go, but would have liked a refill of my lemonade. I asked for a refill and a cup to go and she said they didn't have to-go cups. What kind of place is this???? Ok well bring me my refill and I guess I'll sit here extra long and drink it. Well I ended up only drinking a little of it and was ready to go. She brings me the check and I'm charged for two lemonades. HOL UP CHICK, I specifically used the word 'refill'. If there were no refills on the drink then #1 You should have made that clear from the jump #2 Corrected me when I used the word 'refill'. No Ma'am, you're gonna charge me for a drink I had to beg to get since you neglected my table the whole night and then I barely drank any of it and I CAN'T take it with me cause you don't have to-go cups. Either take it off or bring the manager over here so I can have them do it. She spoke with the manager and it was removed from my check, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. I may go back, but then again I may not. Definitely won't have her waiting on me though.

First time here-sat on deck wonderful view no fans for cooling if it's hot afternoon sun. Caesar salad I don't recommend. Just lettuce cut very oddly and a tiny bit of dressing. Croutons are very large and hard to eat. Lea was our server and she was very good. We had to wait minute or to for our food but I imagine that was the kitchen cooking my salmon a bit too long. I ordered the cedar plank salmon. I'm not sure how to rate. The flavor was great and the fish was cooked perfect on one side. Then when I got to the middle it was dry. The lemon slices while pretty on the plate took away from the beautiful tasty caramelization. And you have to pick the seeds off the fish. Nothing special about veges they were cooked correctly roasted. Another at my table ordered the crab cakes. They were good. No complaints...they were good. So you pay extra for the view food was good but for the price should be perfect. Not sure if I would return.

The one star goes to Derek the new bartender, 3 days in.. Great initial greeting, suggestive upsell on a mid day cocktail or lemon aide followed by a nice rundown on the buffalo shrimp. I went with the rotisserie chopped chicken salad. The cornbread croutons were stale, there was no blue cheese, tomatoes were a little sour, 3 inch over cooked bacon strips were too abundant, hard to eat and yesterdays chicken was dry and mealy. $21 for a shitty salad and club soda is a joke, even though the entire harbor is dramatically overpriced. I live in Philly so if I hadn't noticed a steady decline in food quality in both Marlton and especially Plymouth Meeting I'd probably just keep this to myself but the facts are the facts y'all. It'd be great if the owners would circle the wagons and get things back on track before popping up a couple more stores because the concept is literally one of the best I've seen.. when it's done right.

Came by this outdoor bar/restaurant while watching the world-cup match. It was very crowded and hard to find a seat. The bartenders were really nice, but it was still very hard to get a drink, it would have been nice if they had a few more bartenders on hand, knowing it was going to be packed for the game. The food was average, we ordered a bunch of appetizers. Nothing that blew our socks off , decent bar food. Drinks were standard, as were the prices. The great thing about this spot is the view of the national harbor. You feel like you are at the beach, with the water in ur sights, and the breeze in ur hair. There are many restaurants in the national harbor, I will definitely hit another one up when I visit again and see how it compares.

If I could give this restaurant ZERO stars, I would. This restaurant "experience" was less than desirable. I selected this restaurant based on seeing it's close proximity to the water with respect to seating to host a Ladies brunch on a Sunday afternoon in late May. I made reservations through OpenTable for 12:45. I actually called the restaurant and spoke with Briana to confirm the reservation, add another person to the party, and request outdoor or near outdoor seating. Brianna informed me that outdoor seating was first come, first served. I thanked her and said I would see her at the time of the reservation. The entire party arrived and checked in with the hostess by 12:50. We were told by the hostess that our table was "not ready yet" and to "have a seat". We waited until about 1:15 before being seated in what our entire party of 5 agreed to as the worst seat in the restaurant, especially in the summer time. We were seated by the fireplace, where an absorbent amount of heat was perpetually being emitted. The Ladies in my group were ages 44, 49, 52, 52, and 67. Needless to say, we were ALL hot and uncomfortable at the table. Fortunately, we were wearing sleeveless tops! I noticed a table for 6, that appeared to be leaving shortly, so I kindly explained to the hostess that we were uncomfortable with the heat being emitted by the fireplace and asked if we could move to the table that was becoming available, pointing out the table for 6 soon to vacate. She initially said that she would move us, but then quickly turned around and dealt with another displeased guest and ignored me, completely forgetting I was having a conversation with her. After the other displeased guest left the restaurant, I asked her again if we could move. She stated that she could NOT move our party because another party was waiting for the table. I kindly stated that our party had a reservation, were here first, and had also been waiting. She turned blatantly rolled her eyes, turned around, and ignored me. I then asked a server passing by if he could move our table, to which he responded, yes. He later came to our table and said he could not. About 20 minutes later, the party that "waiting" for the table of 6, was seated. It was, no less, a Caucasian party, which added salt to the wound. Our party consisted of all black women. No manager was around to even deal with our request. Next, our server was worthy of a $5 tip for only taking our orders, which he seemed to do begrudgingly. When asked about a cocktail menu, he said there wasn't one. When asked what drinks were offered, he only mentioned a pineapple soaked vodka drink. This restaurant had been open for 6weeks and still did not have cocktail menu! Absurd and poor planning! The food finally came, and two of us ordered hash browns with our meals. The hash browns were burned and when we complained, the server ignored us. When the check finally came, we left a 15% tip for poor service. I will not return here to be seated in an uncomfortable location that caused us to sweat during our meal NOR to be treated as if servers are doing us a favor. Shame on you.

Last weekend, while I was kayaking, I saw that the outdoor bar to this place was totally packed. I figured, hmm, it must be good. I was still skeptical though because, lets face it, many of the restaurants at the harbor are pretty subpar. Well, I decided to try it for dinner today and I'm glad I did! The hostess staff was really friendly and we were seated right away. On the way to the seats I saw huge jars filled with liquid and a bunch of pineapple slices. The person seating us told us that it was vodka infused with pineapple. She was pretty funny too because she said there was a three glass minimum to try it. Nice. Our server was Viktor who was excellent. He was very chatty and funny and was very eager to give us information about the food and told us which apps, entrees, and drinks were his fave. First off, we took his advice about the Jumbo Buffalo Shrimp. They aren't kidding when they say jumbo here. The shrimp were perfectly cooked - crunchy on the outside and great on the inside. The flavor was also stellar with chunks of blue cheese to accompany it. Totally worth the $18 for it. I went all out and got the half slab of ribs, coleslaw, and mac 'n' cheese. The ribs were flavorful and cooked well. The mac and cheese was great with nice "brownish" cheese on top (you know what I'm talking about) and the coleslaw was good and fresh. Oh, I also tried the doli (pronounced Dole E) which was the drink we passed by at the bar. It was super tasty and Viktor told us to beware because it tasted like just juice and he was right. I also tried the strawberry one which was sweeter and just as good. Anyway, there it is. After being open only a few weeks, Redstone is already better than many of the other restaurants in food and service. Note: They have Happy Hour specials right now for drinks only. Viktor said food specials will be coming soon. I may just have to come back and try those specials - you know, just so I can report back to you, my fellow Yelpers :)

Came here for brunch today (Saturday) when it opened at 10 and was seated right away. This place has gotten some bad reviews but I honestly really liked brunch. We ordered a cornbread wedge to start and the server forgot to ring it in but that was actually perfect because the complimentary bread they give you is HUGE. I wasn't there when it was delivered but it was like a sweet pound cake with cream cheese frosting and coconut shavings with some sweet butter. SO GOOD. Easily 6 servings so we took more than half of it home with us. My bf and I both got mimosas and enjoyed them. He got the sirloin and eggs and killed the entire plate. I got the French toast and I thought it was good as well. We both left full (I couldn't finish mine) and completely satisfied. The server was nice and the manager even came by to check on us. I would definitely come back here for brunch again.

Wife and I ate at Redstone to celebrate our wedding aniversary. Wait staff was great. Accomidated us with a nice table outside. Wife had the salmon. Over cooked, and dry. Sent back and asked for the hamburger. She was happy with that. I had the ribeye with au poive. Worst $#@/ steak au poive I have ever had. Steak was favorless, and the sauce was full of black peppercorns and light brown gravy. No Jamerson as advertised.... note to cooks. Taste it before uou send out. Reading other reviews, this place is great for wings, buffalo shrimp and burgers. Stay away from the steaks and fish ($ 30 and up items).

We ended up at here for brunch on the last day of our trip due to lack of options in the harbor. They brought the most amazing "breakfast bread" which is definitely something that I've never seen before. The view of the harbor from the restaurant was awesome! Other than my amazingly garnished bloody mary they offered the other typical brunch food at pretty reasonable prices. It was kid friendly for the most part. My kids ordered pancakes and it was a large portion that they could split next time. The only reason I gave this restaurant 4 instead of 5 stars was because of the service. Our waitress was very nice but very busy so at times things ran a little slow.

Used to be a nice place right on the water, now it's mediocre. Servers are not friendly and they act like they just don't care. Sunday brunch is horrible. French toast is dry. Pancakes are dry, tasteless and hard. Bacon was burnt. Blueberry muffin bread was under-done and you couldn't taste the blueberries. Very disappointing. I don't plan to return. Just because the,location is good they will always be packed, but once you taste the food and experience the bad service, you will not return. Too many other places.

Disservice with an attitude. Too bad it is a nice location. Maybe they can get away with it. We stopped by after a bike ride this Sunday morning to have brunch. The bartender was apparently born without manners. Good food, attentive service. This is a nice restaurant in a fun area of the City (National Harbor). They were busy on a Sunday night, and the noise level is a bit much for a business dinner, but it was not insurmountable. We were seated in a booth near the busy active bar, which accounted for a lot of the noise...so I would take that in to account if I were to go again. The food was good - nice sized portions and a nice presentation. I would go back again, for sure.

I came here for dinner with my sister and mom. We got a starter of buffalo jumbo shrimp which was very tasty and new. However, it took 22 minutes to get the appetizer. For main entrees, I ordered the burger and they both ordered the meatloaf. For the prices they charge I expected more. The burger looked like it was 4 ounces, and they served it on a large bun....too much bread. Our waiter wasn't the greatest either. I asked for water a couple of times and my sister did too, after several failed attempts and a couple of parched mouths later she brought them out. Also, the plating was very poor. Definitely not coming back!! I would suggest coming here if your expectations are mediocre.

3.7....This is a popular place. There was a steady stream of people coming in and for it to be this popular, I am not sure how I had missed it on my previous trips to the harbor. The place was quite busy for a Saturday at 2pm but we were seated pretty quickly and the waiter was pretty good. He gets 4 stars because although he seemed to have most of the tables in the section, he was attentive and pretty good about checking in and getting refills etc. I got the turkey burger and french fries. Pretty good. I also tried the cornbread with maple butter....not really a fan but it wasn't too bad. The drinks were decent but way too overpriced. $12/margarita is a bit excessive when the glass is standard and the tequila isn't top shelf.

The service is cold and unimpressive. The food was barely warm when it arrived at the table, and had the taste of something prepackaged and microwaved. Our server opened our bottle of white wine and left it on the table, and it was already warm by the time a server brought back something to chill it in. I will not repeat, and I would stay away. The only nice thing about this place is the view and ambiance of the outside area; otherwise I would have given it 1 star.

This place reminds me of one of my Scottsdale favorites, Bandera and it's sister property, Houston's. Lot's of dark wood, low lights, stone work and a intimate feel. It's not as upscale as either Bandera or Houston's but it still has a solid feel. Even their menus are similar with whole rotisserie chickens, ribs, steaks, seafood and salads. They also offer a skillet cornbread which we didn't try but typically like. I definitely enjoyed their juicy and crisp chicken cooked classic style without BBQ sauce which was accompanied with some pretty tasty mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. My wife ordered one of their loaded baked potatoes which she enjoyed very much. We had attentive and timely service and really enjoyed our dining experience here. They make a pretty good Manhattan too.

A couple of friends & I decided to grab an early dinner today and we decided to give this place a try since none of us had had it before. The ambience was nice, with indoor & outdoor seating with a nice view of the water. We opted to eat inside being it was a lil chilly out. Bar area is surrounded with big screen tv's to watch the NBA playoffs & very comfortable booths. Our waitress was nice & appeared to be very knowledgable of the menu. She offered her advice on getting the cornbread & buffalo shrimp as an appetizer. We loved the shrimp but the cornbread not so much. It wasn't awful, but just not to our liking. I got the crab cakes as an entree & it was really good!! Definitely will get it again! Overall, I really liked Redstone & I'm looking forward to going again

Ate at this restaurant over the weekend. Had Parmesan shrimp and calamari - Delicious! Flavor and texture were on point. For entree's, we both ordered a portobello, mushroom and spinach burger with fries. We asked for medium-rare and they were cooked to perfection. And..they were hot! Nothing worse than lukewarm or cold burgers. Our service was great. For drinks, I ordered a red Sangria that was good. The only negative is my friend was disappointed they didn't have a mango frozen margarita.

Had pleasure dining here on a Friday evening. Luckily we got there early enough and beat the line. We chose to sit on the patio to enjoy the sunset, and it was absolutely gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. While most of the staff wasn't the most welcoming kind, we were lucky to have Sam (I believe was his name) as our waiter. He was still in training at the time but was very knowledgeable and kind. It was refreshing to have unpretentious and genuine attention, with great recommendations on food along with good sense of humor. Thank You for that. Food may just have been some of the best I've ever had. We had crabcakes and a prime rib. Both were excellent- quality, flavors, presentation.. When I do go back I will definitely make sure to order the prime rib once again- it was unforgettably good. Our mixed drinks were great as well, fair amount of alcohol and real flavors of fruits and juices (not the usual watered down syrupy mess). Overall very happy with my experience and I'm already making future plans for dinner there.

I seldom give reviews as you can see. I generally will only give reviews that I think will help others in determining whether a place is worth it or not. In this case, I am sorry but to share with you of the bad experience we had at this restaurant. We came to this restaurant at around 1:30 pm on Saturday with a party of 5 and while there were people waiting, it was not busy at all. We were told to wait for 25 min meanwhile we saw plenty of empty tables around. In any case, we waited patiently until one of the kids started complaining about the wait time. So I went up to check at around 30 min mark. I was told I was next and we waited for another 20 min without a word. I finally had to go up there and complained. Came here for an early date night on a Friday afternoon at 6:45pm. We were seated right away even though the place was buzzing with people. Perfect timing I guess. But from the looks of it I would recommend making a reservation. View: if you want to sit outside this spring weather is perfect! Or you can sit inside and sit near the window. Beautiful view of the pier and Ferris wheel. Service: Alexis was the waitress and she was great. Very attentive and a fun happy attitude. Food: I had the meatloaf (because I read on here that it was awesome but I've never been a meatloaf fan). I thought it was ok. My date thought it was great! He likes meatloaf in general so I'll go with his assessment. He had the ribs and chicken. We loved that plate! Drinks: we had draft beers The Wye Rye was smooth. Very good. Price: typical harbor price. Spent $90 with tip so it wasn't too bad. Overall it was a great place I'll be back. :)

Really enjoyed this restaurant after a disappointing visit to the bbq festival. Flatbread pizza and spinich dip with a gorgeous harbor view. Good waiter service by Slater. ( good luck in Germany) Would go again. Good food -- good service.

Went here tonight with a group of 9. I wish I could remember our waiter's name but he was great-the food was just ok. We got a full order of the buffalo shrimp and yes they are jumbo shrimp but $19 for an order of 5??? The shrimp were good but not worth $19. We got a couple of orders of the cornbread for the table. The cornbread was absolutely delicious! Many of us got the rotisserie chicken salad. The description made it sound a lot of better than it was. Cheap lettuce with some cold chicken, flavorless dressing with a few bits of tomato and a couple of raisins---a $17 plate of blah. My friends that got the turkey burger and the chicken flatbread both enjoyed their meals without complaint. This place was just ok. Like most National Harbor restaurants, highly overpriced. Next time I'm at the harbor, I don't know if I would want to eat here again.

For the price of the items on the menu and behavior of the wait staff, I'm not impressed. They were incredibly pushy about ordering appetizers, brought out a different wine than I'd ordered and didn't check back with us to see that we all had empty glasses a couple of times. The steak was tender and juicy, but I've been more impressed by a steak at a Longhorn Steakhouse than here. The very small portion of veggies looked like something that you'd pour out of a steam-in-bag and the garlic mash was good. Despite running off before we could all order desert at the same time, the desert flavor was absolutely fabulous! We all ended up ordering the red velvet sundae, with toffee ice cream, marshmallow fluff, Carmel drizzle and chocolate covered coffee beans. So good!

Awful. I try to see the positive things, however, almost everything last night was negative, with the exception of the manager's attempts to reconcile the truly terrible and unprofessional services of this restaurant. A friend and I decided to check out National Harbor, Ice, and made reservations here. A big mistake. We ordered red wine, steaks, and enjoyed a great view of the Capital Wheel, but weren't able to fully enjoy our meals. Little did we know that we had also ordered a side of rude, improper service from our server, Robert, and the host staff. We had a misunderstanding in the beginning of our meal about bread being served. The manager, Leah, quickly recognized the miscommunication and provided a complimentary cornbread appetizer to rectify the situation. Our server decided to take the low road, and began a routine of sarcasm and rudeness that followed our meal to its conclusion. Each time he approached the table, we decided not to engage him (a difficult task considering his job is to facilitate food to table), but kept to ourselves as he made the experience entirely uncomfortable. Towards the end of the meal, I went to the host stand to locate the restrooms. The hostess directed me outside in the pouring rain. I looked at her in disbelief, shocked that a staff member would even jokingly tell a customer to look for the facilities outside. Her colleague spoke up and said, "don't tell him that." She then asked him to show me towards the restroom as she laughed. Still in shock and appauled, I approached the restroom. The host who guided me then followed me in and stood there for the duration of my business, gazing at me through the bathroom mirror. First, this is unacceptable and uncomfortable in any situation. I kept looking over my shoulder, wondering why he was in there, trying to fathom a reasonable explanation. Second, I almost called the police from the restroom as my discomfort was escalating as I was unsure what was happening. I finally returned to the table and explained what had happened to my friend. Since we were already acquainted with the manager, we called her over to the table again. At this point, I explained what just occurred She tried to give us a lame excuse about how non-patrons often come in to try and use the restroom. I explained how that would make sense had I not come from INSIDE the restaurant and how I was completely dry, and not wearing a jacket as it was raining. I asked under what circumstances or policies the restaurant staff would ever follow a patron into the restroom and stare at them while using the facilities. She could not offer any explanation and also wondered why this had happened. She assured us that she would look into it and apologized. I reminded her that we were paying customers, who had ordered a decent amount from the menu, and that the actions of her staff were completely unprofessional and improper. Guests should be able to enjoy their meals peacefully and without creeps following them into the restrooms. As the manager, she accepted responsibility for our unpleasnt experience and tried to offer us gift cards for a future visit. We politely declined and told her that we would not be dining at the establishment again, but had every intention to pay for our meal, and be on our way. After our conversation with the manager, the server approached the table, and offered an apology, but admitted he did not know what he was apologizing for - again, in a rude, condescending tone. When we received the bill, the manager had comped the wine. I didn't expect this, but was pleasantly surprised. All in all here is what we learned last night: - Our server was awful, but hopefully other diners had a more pleasant experience. - There is no guarantee or expectation of privacy in the restroom, as staff may follow you in and observe. - The hostess is unfamiliar with the restaurant facilities and believes the restrooms are outside in the rain. - The majority of staff we encountered promote a poor atmosphere and actively discourage patrons from returning through their unprofessional and rude behaviors. - A re-evaluation of staff and/or further customer service training at this location is in order. - The silver lining? A good manager who recognizes mistakes, apologizes, and honestly tries to correct them. Readers - I told you I try to see the positive, but I would avoid Redstone.

First time here for brunch. Cucumber martini was delicious and our waitress Asia was attentive. The burger and ribs were good . However, the crab Benedict was cold, soggy and eggs hard. We returned it and the GM was obviously irritated. No apology for the food being wrong TWICE - rather her bad attitude spoiled the outing. I had the opportunity to experience dinner and brunch. Both the service and food were on point. The portions were healthy and worth the price as well. However, despite the high chairs, the menu is not suitable for children. I loved the big booths and the great outdoors view and seaing. Great place for groups or date night.

If you have ever had bad food and horrible customer service, believe me you haven't experience anything like this. This restaurant is the worst!!! To start the waitress said I will be right back to clear your table when we sat down, took 20 mins to do that, food took 45 mins to arrive, food was burned, we asked for the manager, manager had no clue what customer service is about with a really bad attitude. Waitress never even checked on us, nor she approached the area, it took 30 mins for us to get the bill YES! 30!!!!

This was our first time here and we had a great time. I made a reservation for 5:30 and they sat us immediately after we checked in. Our server greeted us immediately and was friendly. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. My husband got the burger and I got the Thai chicken salad. Everything was good and came out promptly. We will be back again!

Best dang wedge salad I have ever had! Also, the butternut squash soup pleases your palate while it warms your bones, chilled from the harbors winter breeze. My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite before we headed into DC for the day. Great service and tasty tidbits! I can't speak for the rest of the menu since I'm the only crazy person ordering salads on a cold winters day, but the tables around me had some fine looking fixings on their plates. I can't say that it is fine dining but it will certainly get the job done and seems better than the surrounding selections on the harbor.

I'm giving Redstone a 4-Star rating mostly because the rest of the restaurants at the Harbor are terrible. I do think this it's a great addition, though. We went last night - after 10 - and were told there was a 2-hour wait by the woman (hostess? Hard to tell.) who was guarding the door. It was weird because there were clearly several tables available inside and there didn't seem to be anyone waiting. Anyway, we asked her about the outside bar and she told us we could definitely go to the bar but couldn't sit at the table tops there. Again, weird because there were at least 5 table tops available out there. After trying to figure out our next move for a while, I went back into the bar area and saw that two groups has departed so, there were now available seats at the outside bar. Once seated at the bar we were greeted and offered service immediately. There isn't a cocktail menu but, there seemed to be enough liquors to choose from for whatever cocktail you want. They do have a nice wine list and there's a really decent sized food menu. My group tried a couple of the flat breads, wings and salad. Everything tasted pretty good but it was cold when we received it. We would've definitely complained if it weren't so late at night. The atmosphere was lovely and Redstone's outside bar has a fantastic view (perfect placement to view the Ferris wheel!). I believe they also have a fire pit. I'll definitely return!

Pretty extensive menu - plenty of starters, salads, entrees and desserts to choose from. Didn't have the Buffalo Shrimp but they looked good and impressively large. Started with the Cornbread and very happy we did. It and the maple butter that comes with it is awesome! Couldn't finish it all so we took it home and it was just as good there too. We had the Prime Rib French Dip and Arribatta Chicken. The chicken was tasty but the sauce could have been spicier. The French dip hit the spot and may have ruined all others that I'll eat. Do to its location, and maybe where we were sitting, I got poor to no cell reception so I was very happy that they had free wifi.

This was the only restaurant on a busy Saturday night that got a table of six of us in within a reasonable amount of time. It's pricey but decent food. Waited over an hour, but I would say worth it. First off, you have to get the cornbread. Phenomenal. Salads came too late and with food, but they were good. I had the pesto crusted halibut- excellent! they cooked the fish to perfection over a nice bed of spinach. For six people with drinks included price was $250, so a hefty bill, but good food. I would definitely go back here.

Prices are pretty high, which is why I expected more from Redstone. First round of drinks had 2 complete "fail" errors plus no slushy alcoholic bevs b/c the machine was broken. They were out of 2 menu items so I had to settle for crab cakes. They were decent but not memorable. Corn bread appetizer was nice esp w maple butter. I did not like the crab dip but it was edible. Side of mushrooms arrived 10 minutes after my colleague's filet. Very nice view and a good concept but definitely need to step this place up.

To be honest with you, I came into this place with pretty low expectations. The Harbor has very limited food choices, so I wasn't expecting anything at all. This is probably one of the best restaurants in the area. Not to mention, it has a killer view. There's a patio section that over looks the water. You can even see the big screen tv from inside of the restaurant. I also really enjoyed the restaurant set up. The fireplace, and well-decorated (Xmas decorations) interior warmed up the entire restaurant. As for the food, it was pretty good. We had a set menu, since my aunt was celebrating her birthday. I was really impressed with the presentation of the appetizers and entrees. We were served a big plate of assorted finger foods: sliders, sushi, chicken wings and shrimp. It sounds somewhat random, but I appreciated the variety of different choices. For my main course, I ordered steak w/ mashed potatoes and broccoli. It isn't the best steak I've ever had in my life, but I still enjoyed it. I also liked how they provided little flags to indicate the cook of the steak. For example, I like my steak medium, so there was a little flag in the center of my steak labeled "medium." That's kind of a silly little detail, but I appreciate unique things that stand out. All in all, I definitely recommend this place. I'm happy to see we have another good addition to the National Harbor. It's about time!

Great restaurant. An employee noticed us looking for a place to have lunch. Tiara told us to come to "her" restaurant. Turned out to be a great recommendation. Krista obviously took ownership in where she worked and glowed as she recommended it. Great service by Patrick as well. Food was wonderful. French toast, ribs and steak and eggs all were great. Highly recommend. Management is luck to have such employees.

The worse Happy Hour everrrrrrrrrrrr! How can you be at the National Harbor and not have a Happy Hour, a couple $$ off wine and beer? No appetizers, very disappointing! After a great half marathon, and a ride on the Capital Wheel, this was just about the only option open for a nice sit down brunch. It's a brunch style place - large, nice views of the harbor, big leather booths, and a wonderful Ferris Wheel for chickens you can watch spin (rotisserie) (or just watch the actual Ferris Wheel out the window). I opted for the Crab Eggs Benedict: Two poached eggs, atop an English muffin, with garlicky spinach and a crab cake, served with a side of hash browns. The eggs were cooked just about right, and the English muffin was fine - nothing special. Eaten all together, it was actually an okay eggs benedict. I made the mistake of tearing the thing apart to enjoy the crab cake on its own. What I found was that it was slightly burned - imparting a char taste to ends of it. Slipping it back together, tasted fine. Took it back apart - terrible. The breakfast came with a free sweet bread, smothered in butter and powdered sugar. Normally I'd be excited about this... but it was too much for a pre-brunch snack. The other disappointment came with one of my party's omelets. It was ordered without Bacon... so they put the bacon on top instead of inside. The staff was quick to take it back, and did get another one (not quite as quick) but there wasn't an apology. Considering all the reason people may not eat bacon - its very easy by plopping a plate topped with Bacon just put you off your brunch. Yes, it's a mistake, but a heartfelt - or even not-heartfelt- apology does go a long way when you mess up something like that. In the end - this is a bit of tourist trap, with prices that reflect that - high, but not completely unreasonable. If you're out ton the harbor for the day, and want water front views and a brunch with a large group - you probably won't find much better. However, I would never go out of my way to come back here based on my one experience. Essentially - I wouldn't talk you out of it, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to suggest it either.

The food is good American cuisine. Nothing spectacular, but it was tasty. What I love about this place is the decor and it has one of the best views of the National Harbor. We had a booth for 5 people and had a pretty view of the ferris wheel in all its glory. We went on a Wed night, but I made reservations, just in case since I read that it can be crowded. We came around 5:30 pm, and it was still empty, but when we left around 8 pm it was packed. Come early to get the tables near the windows. It would be nice to watch the sun set. I would love to come here on a snowy day and watch the snow come down and eat American comfort food. It has a menu of pricey things, but they also have salads and burgers for $15. I think this place on the weekends would be unbearable because on Wed night it was pretty cold and the place was stuffed with people. For 4 adults and a child, with one appetizer, soup, and 5 entrees, it came out to $100, which is not bad. I had the meatloaf, which was pretty standard. Next time I will do a salad.

"Too much sauce. Not enough meat." That phrase pretty much sums up my time at red stone grill. When I walked in, I was impressed by the design and location of the place. Very impressive atmosphere and one hell of a view. That's where there impressiveness stops. I ordered their two main staples, "ribs and chicken." Their ribs were slathered in so much sauce, and not enough meat. Seemed like they threw a lot of sauce and just left it on the grill. Very smoky and tender, but taste just wasn't there. Then my chicken was undercooked on one side and over cooked on the other. The chicken was so dry that I had to dip it into ketchup and when I mean "dip it into ketchup," I mean make my chicken take an Olympic dive from the top all the way to the bottom. Perfect. 10. But for Redstone, I give it a 2/5. You're better off going to a legit rib and chicken place. Skip the sauce. Go for the meat.

I enjoyed this place. Out of the three water front restaurants at the Harbor, to me, this has the best location and views. The chicken oven is neat to watch. Menu is somewhat limited but everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Service was good and the servers were attentive and kind. I have yet to try the happy hour but prices aren't the cheapest but I believe the whole experience is tied in. The ribs were a HUGE hit in our table and I would recommend that. I will be back.

Went here and ordered a house salad, seared ahi tuna, and the 16oz NY strip. Service was excellent, and the steak is up there for the best I've had in my life. The ahi tuna was great and seared just enough. The Asian slaw on which it was served had an excellent taste. Fairly large wine list and a full bar to boot. There's an outdoor seating area and a gas fire pit. It is pricey, but as a time to celebrate or just a night out every once in a while, the prices are justifiable. Be sure you have a reservation as wait times were easily 30 minutes without.

I visited on May 23rd which was the same day the Capital Wheel opened. The restaurant was packed and the wait was more than 2 hours. I made reservations so I was seated right away. The restaurant is beautiful and it sits just off the pier overlooking the new capital wheel. Great view!! The food was really good but service was extremely slow. I'm sure it takes time to work out the kinks at any new restaurant. I would definitely visit again because the food was really good. I expected a more laid back atmosphere as I read somewhere it was comparable to the likes of Ruth Chris, Capital Grille or McCormick & Schmicks. Instead it looked as though they were catering more to a happy hour crowd. The music was a tad bit loud for a steakhouse and children were running around. It felt more like a Chili's rather than a steak house. The cornbread is to die for and the buffalo shrimp were awesome!! I tried the baby back ribs as an entree and again, no disappointment. It was delish!! The portion sizes were nice for the price and the food arrived piping hot. As for now, I rate it 3 stars just because of extremely slow service. The food is reasonably priced but I personally do not want to pay Ruth Chris prices for a Ruby Tuesday atmosphere. The weather was very pleasant and there were LOTS of people out. This may be what contributed to why it wasn't as enjoyable. At any rate, I say try it out. Give them a shot.

On a rainy day we ended up at red stone.... self seating on the patio was a breeze since it wasn't too full..... we had a great view of the harbor while we ate... since we were first timers our waitress was patient which is always a plus since I'm indecisive.....The drinks were great.... my partner in crime ordered a long island and it arrived CLEAR!!! The menu is somewhat limited.... I ordered the buffalo shrimp and a Caesar salad....the food came out really fast!!! The salad has what seems to be a homemade dressing...mmmm! The shrimp OMG!! First if they're huge and just crispy enough.... There is a definite kick to the sauce but nothing to serious......

Cornbread? Amazing! Portions were a little too large, but everything was tasty. I had the filet, which was perfectly medium - and an excellent steak - and others had the salmon burger and salads which were all enjoyed. But service, while plenty polite, was incredibly slow. Two and a half hours from start to finish. Watched the couple next to us get their apps and mains before we ever saw our appetizer (though it was delicious...). Management recognized the turtle pace and comp'd desserts, so much appreciated. I would go again, to see if the speed of service was an anomaly... Because the food was yummy. But I'd cross this off my list forever if I had another dining experience as slow as this was.

Good option at National Harbor. Probably the best option for decent food that's not too pricey. The drinks are always good, and the food is pretty good too. I have had the cornbread, crab cake, and spinach flatbread...all good. The spinach flatbread was a little soggy, so they may need to work on keeping the crust crispy, but it was still tasty. The customer service is always consistently good. I love the outdoor bar/patio area, and that's what actually first attracted me to this place. The ambiance is great, and if they had happy hour prices, it would be even better, but it's definitely a place I will continue to go to.

I headed to National Harbor on a Wednesday night to catch the dress rehearsal of the Cirque du Soleil show in town. Before the show, we decided to have dinner at Redstone, a pleasant but overpriced experience. We made a reservation for 6PM, arrived around 6:15PM, but were promptly seated at a table outside with the best view of the boats at dock and the ferris wheel on the water. The restaurant was pretty crowded, though, so I recommend making reservations. The menu was pretty standard for an American restaurant, featuring a fish, steak, burger/sandwich, and appetizer sections. Nothing on the menu particularly stood out to me, but I ended up choosing the parmesan crusted walleye, despite not usually being a fan of fish. Our food came out extremely quickly. The walleye was probably the best fish I had ever had! The flaky and soft white fish paired with a crisp parmesan topping made for a great combination, and the portion was huge--probably the largest fish dish I've ever had before. I didn't care much for the mashed potatoes--while the flavor was nice, the potatoes were kind of dry with huge chunks of potatoes still throughout. The strong garlic flavor from the mashed potatoes also lingered in my mouth for the remainder of the night which was unpleasant. The walleye was $28, which was a little pricier than I would have liked given the not-overly-fancy atmosphere of the restaurant, but I suppose you are paying for the great view of the water. I am surprised that other reviewers complained so much about service as that was one of the best parts of our dining experience. We let our waiter know that we were trying to catch a 7:30 show and were in a bit of a time crunch. He was wonderful, constantly attentive, and friendly. We were able to leave the restaurant around 7:10. I had a good time at Redstone, but given the many other restaurants in the area and pricey/unexciting menu, I'll probably won't return in the future.

I dined at Redstone for the first time on Saturday night and I have to say the place was pretty good. The crowd was lively and the ambience was fitting for a harbor view dining experience. My salmon and rice dinner was cooked to perfection and the key lime was big too ( although it cost $10!). Great place and I'll definitely be returning soon.

I've been to Redstone a few times since it's been open and I love it. The food and drinks are great as well as the view if you sit outside on the patio. You can see all of the Woodrow Willson Bridge, the water, and the new ferris wheel. The staff is always friendly and nice. The only reason I am giving them a 4 star is because I went there one night and it says online that they close at 11pm got there around 10:15pm and they said they wern't serving food for the rest of the night. No where on the website does it say that nor did the Hostess that picked up the phone that night either. Luckly i got a really great bartender and the manager on site was nice enough to let me order food. I thank them for that but as a customer it wasn't my fault that they were not serving food (there is no sign or anything online saying they stop serving drinks or food before 11pm) That needs to be taken care of by management. Other than that Redstone is my fave spot at the Harbor so happy they are there now! :)

Overall, for the price of my dinner I expected A LOT more from this place. First, we enter the restaurant to be seated. We go to the hostess stand where the hostess tells us to turn back around and go back to the front doors where a guy with a clip board will take our name and give us a wait time. Seriously? Isn't that usually done AT THE HOSTESS STAND? We turn around and see that about 6 separate parties had walked in right behind us (it's a Saturday in late summer at the national harbor - believe it!) They take our name and #, say they'll text when the table is ready (30-40min). We go sit on a bench and enjoy the view. 45 min later we go back, asking what's up? They say "oh, where have you been? we've texted you 4 times!" I show them my phone, they see there's no text, they seat us. The moment we sit, I get ONE text. Ok, fine. The waiter was good. Friendly, fast, and attentive. We had already studied the menu, so we order right away. I got the (amazing sounding) parmesan crusted walleye. It was ok - but the fish was over cooked and a bit burnt and still had a bunch of pin bones in it! I got a mouth full and swallowed before realizing. Not fun. Everything else on the plate was good, but for a $28 entree, it better be freakin amazing! Girlfriend got a special - teriyaki salmon with rice pilaf. She really liked it. We finished with the key lime pie which was the highlight - really good and a big portion! Worth the $10 price tag I think. Overall, I was not impressed enough to return. Except maybe for the pie! View was spectacular though!

A very solid dinner indeed. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place on whim while strolling around national harbor. We were sat in a spacious booth by the window where we enjoyed the amazing waterfront view. Now onto the food. My boyfriend was surprised when I said, 'these might be the best crab cakes I've ever had' because I hold high standards when it comes to food. But seriously, best crab cakes ever. I can tell they included the tomalley which imparts this delicate richness to the crabcake which makes it that much more amazing. The sriracha aioli was the perfect accompaniment. Mmm mmm mmm. My boyfriend ordered the ribs and chicken that lacked salt which was a shame ;(. Now one thing I couldn't get over was how the coleslaw was plated in a tiny little skillet, it was S'CUTE! (chris delia reference. watch him on vine) Anyways, to top off a fantastic dinner was a huge ass cookie sundae. So decadent. Sooo yaammmmy.

Went on a Friday evening after a trip to the National Harbor. If you want a quiet sit down restaurant this is not the place, just an FYI. It is very noisy which isn't a complaint I just didn't expect that. The food was good and I waiter was very nice. I got the salmon burger and shrimp and sweet corn chowder (there wasn't much shrimp in it). I would recommend trying this place if you like the atmosphere of an Applebee's on game night with a greater quality of food.

This is a pretty good place. Redstone has an excellent, warm, inviting atmosphere -- especially in the lively outdoor bar area, with its long bar, numerous tables of assorted sizes, and a firepit with wraparound seating. The staff across the board was very friendly, but the hosts/hostesses seemed harried and off their game -- I was sent to multiple people in search of a list for outdoor seating, eventually found someone who took my name and said I would receive a text when my table was ready (after "20-40 minutes"), waited an hour, and when I went in just to check on where I was on the list at that point, I was directed to a new person (the fourth) who seated me immediately...after a confused look at the waiting list. The food was alright; however, it would really have left the restaurant with two stars from me if it wasn't for the atmosphere and the staff (which -- along with a couple more menu items I'd like to try -- are the reasons I will give it at least one more chance). Nothing I had was particularly hot [temperature-wise], the cornbread that has wowed others didn't seem to me to have much flavor, and I found the crabcakes to be mushy and fishy. And alright, to round out what I ordered, the Old Bay fries were fine.

The food and drinks were really good however the service we had at the outside bar was terrible. The bartender asked us what we would like then turned and started to talk to the people next to us because they couldn't decide whether or not to open a tab or close it then was going over the menu with a man who had showed up after we did. After sitting there for almost 10 minutes we got up and went inside instead. Much better service!! The bartender outside actually did come back and apologize to us however the damage was already done at that point. Being a new restaurant I feel that they need to work on the service. The servers weren't too familiar with the menu and did take a little long to bring our drinks out. I hope they improve.

4 adults & 3 kids on 12/29/14 for lunch during Holiday week. Was about a 30 minute wait and worth it as we got a great view inside in a "1/2 booth" facing out on the harbor. Kids menu sliders was just right size / portion. Steak cobb salad was delicious and was cooked as ordered. Obviously is a tourist centric restaurant but they do a good job moving you through and the ambiance is nice. Open wood fired chicken rotisserie is an eye catcher and the chickens look delicious. Must try that next time.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I'm sitting in restaurant as I write this review. My wife and I have been waiting for over 45 minutes to receive our food. It took 20 minutes for coffee and another 15 minutes for a refill of ice tea to arrive. We are leaving! Folks, if you want better service go to McDonald's.

A group of us went there for lunch, and I had great expectations. The server greeted us enthusiastically. The menu looked good. I (and a few others) ordered the crab cake sandwich, which came with "Old Bay fries." Since all of the sandwiches are "Served with your choice of coleslaw, French fries, garlic mashed potatoes or baked beans," and this particular one came with potatoes (Old Bay fries) my choice was coleslaw. Two others at our table applied the same logic. The sandwich was served with no potatoes of any kind. When I asked the server about the missing fries, he explained that I had "substituted" the fries for coleslaw. When I pointed out that there was no substitution, because the sandwich came with Old Bay fries, and the choice was coleslaw, he became snooty, and retorted, "I didn't write the menu." I remained polite, pointing out that I was not suggesting he wrote the menu, but his employer did. He offered to add fries to my order. I asked that he just provide my order as requested, with no additions: A crab cake with Old Bay fries and my "choice" of coleslaw. He huffed away to see what he could do, and came back with an order or regular fries, but the paper lining was not all the way down in the container, so basically I got a half order. Someone else said the same thing happened with their order. "Well, I'll have to talk to the manager." "Please do," replied my companion. He huffed away and brought back fries. For the rest of the meal, he waited on us with utter contempt, as though we had somehow offended him. Every person at the table had treated him politely, and with respect, but simply insisted on getting what the menu said -- even suggesting that if he thought we were wrong, he should point it out to management so they could correct the menu. The bottom line is that we could have tolerated overpriced mediocre food (no one seemed particularly impressed with the meal), and the FoxNews was far enough away in the background to try to ignore it and not take offense at the restaurant pushing such crap, because the overall atmosphere was good (in spite of being ridiculously dark for a waterfront view), it was a beautiful day, and the view was very nice (except that. because it was a group reservation, we had to st indoors and away from the window in spite of there being ample seating outdoors and inside near the window. But this server's attitude was a real downer. The investors would have been better served had he just shut up and kept his enthusiasm, and cheerily served the fries, even if the menu was wrong. The cost of fries (and it was just the regular ones) was pound foolish. I'm still curious what the "Old Bay fries" taste like, but I'm not about to return there to find out. I'm still puzzled as to why they refused to seat anyone until the entire party arrived, even though the place was more than half empty and no one else was going to use our reserved table. They might have made a buck or two more on drinks while we waited for the others. The overall impression is of a restaurant that thinks too highly of itself, and believes its customers should be thankful for the privilege of dining there. I've enjoyed PotBelly sandwiches much more, at a fraction of the price, and with servers who go out of their way to please.

SLOWWWW SERVICE, FOOD MEDIOCRE to BAD, GOOD SUNSET VIEW, DARK INTERIOR. Took forever to get menus, forever to get our drinks and literally ordered with our drinks because we had been waiting so long. We didn't want to have our waiter disappear again. Basically he took our order and disappeared until the check came, other waiters came by to deliver our food. Screwed up the plain cheeseburger we ordered for our kid. Had to wait even longer for them to make another one. By that time others In our party were eating. Ugghhh. Mojito was good, house wine was ok, fettuccine Alfredo was awful - runny sauce over cooked pasta, calamari appetizer had far too many fried olives??? And fried Green peppers and even a couple of stray French fry (means didn't empty the fryer basket from previous order) and not enough actual squid calamari, I don't know if the calamari was supposed to have all those other things in there but we felt ripped off as we didn't get enough calamari, the cornbread was too spicy with jalapeño???? on top we think, fish special didn't taste very good and had an upset stomach that night, crab cakes were not firm and actually fell apart when trying to eat it with a fork. Large portions here but even that couldn't save it from the mediocrity of the food. Just occurred to me why the extremely dark interior - so you can't see the crappy food they're serving you. WILL NOT be coming back and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

A restaurant so good, my mouth waters just thinking about this place. I highly suggest this place. The restaurant is right on the water, so customers can have window seating looking out on the harbor and the ferris wheel. The environment is rustic and romantic. Smells of applewood throughout the restaurant because of the real fire pit cooking rotisserie chicken. The drinks are delicious, especially the pineapple infused kettle one vodka. The food is delicious from the fresh cranberry bread to the soups to the main meal! Excellent. Great service. Staff members look genuinely happy.

If you're staying at Gaylord, this is a great place for brunch. They deserve 5 stars just for the delicious free bread served only on their weekend brunches. Today it was blueberry and was scrumptious and a meal by itself. Crab Benedict was good and so were the pancakes. Lemonade was fresh. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Great place to look out over the pier.

Food is abysmal and service is worse. First time here and I won't be back. They brought out our appetizer, the cornbread which is actually good, but we waited 5 minutes watching server after server pass is by and not bring us silverware or napkins to eat our appetizer. Finally I flagged down a manager to bring us our silverware and water, after all we're sitting outside in DC in August so water is a plus. Anywho, she brought us silverware. When our good came out I notice something off so I dug around my salad with my silverware to find uncooked chicken (take a look for yourself in the pictures I upload for this establishment). I told the server I would not be eating my salad and pointed out the uncooked chicken, his reply, "it's fine, it's like that because we cook it in a rotisserie." Excuse me but that answer is UNACCEPTABLE!! The pictures speak for themselves, and I am not going to subject myself to a night of hugging the porcelain pony just because a restaurant server tells me (someone with a degree in health/nutrition) that my food is fine when it clearly is not!!

I went to this restaurant with my family, including my grandparents. Our table was very dark, so my grandmother couldn't see. We ordered, and the service was ATROCIOUS. It took an hour to get our appetizers. The fondue didn't come with enough things to dip, so we asked for more croutons, which took another half an hour. Our entrees finally came. I ordered a kale and salmon "salad" special, which was really a pile of spiced kale with a lukewarm salmon filet. All of the meat was lukewarm. I can't emphasize enough though how much the slow service ruined this meal. We went on a Tuesday evening. It was far from busy. But our meal took well over 2 hours. Out of the many wonderful restaurants at the National Harbor, don't spend your evening waiting for expensive, mediocre food.

Open patio seating led to out group waiting 20min to catch the attention of someone to ask for water, which led to a server stopping twice to say she would 'be right there' (she never came back) and a second server taking our order after 30min. Said order got 'messed up' aka never put in and 45min after arrival we got water. 60min later after having the first manager ignore us the second one came over - 75min later we got our mediocre at best burgers that were not at all how we ordered them. The staff didn't seem to care the least bit about the ignorance - never even got an 'I'm sorry'. Won't be back.

My friends and I stopped here for a drink on Friday night before dinner. We walked in and had a seat at the bar. The whole place had a great warm and deliciously smokey smell and atmosphere. We had to stop ourselves from looking at the menu in depth as we already had dinner plans. Our drinks were delicious, strong and reasonably priced for the National Harbor area - about $10 or so. The group ordered their fresh pineapple vodka, a blueberry lemonade with vodka, blackberry drink and an old fashioned. I would order any one again. I would definitely return to try another drink, and would love to sit out by the fire pit, weather permitting, next time. Yum!

I can't get over how much I loved this place. Our waiter was a new employee and absolutely phenomenal. His recommendations were on point and his enthusiasm definitely enhanced our experience. My boyfriend and I had plans to get a bunch of items and have a little taste of everything, but every dish was so good that we ate all of it!! The menu has many options for different taste preferences as well. We got the spinach flatbread and jerk chicken fondue as appetizers - OUTSTANDING. My boyfriend had the chicken Alfredo and I had the pesto crusted halibut. We shared the wedge of cornbread as a side which was also really really good. We weren't planning on dessert since we were so stuffed, but couldn't resist our waiter's description of the warm chocolate chip walnut cookie a la mode. PHENOMENAL. We also had the specialty cocktail of the night which was this pineapple vodka mix that was perfect - not too sweet, not too dry either. I'm not from the area but I would literally go back and visit for this place! Haha

I went there on a Friday night and the place was packed. Servers running left and right, people waiting in the front and even outside. I would recommend getting a reservation. We were seated surprisingly quick and ordered the flatbread pizza for an appetizer. It was pretty good. I probably could have made a meal out of 3 or 4 of them. Then came the drinks. I can't remember the drink name but I had the Pineapple infused vodka drink. Now I usually order straight Bourbon so this drink took some convincing for me to order and confidently sip. And man oh man, if that wasn't the best mixed drink I ever had. So it was a tad on the pricey side....BUT, 1 will get you tipsy, 2 will make you call a cab, and 3 you'll wake up with someo....anyways. Well worth it. Just stuck to ordering 1 and it was perfect. My cobb salad came soon thereafter and the steak was right on point. The steak was good, but the bacon stole the show. That's taking nothing away from the steak. Their bacon was thick, savory, and just the right mix of crunchy/chewy. For dessert we had this chocolate cookie with fudge sauce(?) dipped all over it. It would be a great dessert for maybe 4 people. 2 people, and it makes great leftovers. Overall it was a really positive experience. I had seen some sub-par reviews but I really don't understand the criticism. Located in a great spot, with helpful servers, but most importantly, the food was delicious. I could see myself coming back here real soon.

Large table, server did not understand that appetizers should come BEFORE entrees. And when we complained, we were kicked out. While I have been accused of being rowdy in the past, all I did to deserve this was agree that the conversation should take place outside. Outside, the doors were shut on me as though I'd been violent (no, just upset, and possibly using foul language after 9pm) and I was told not to come back in. No one wanted to discuss the problem with me...I was dismissed. No idea if they expect my friends to pay my food tab.

Ok everybody I could not wait to write a review. My fiance and I had the most amazing experience here. It did start out a little shakey with some mistakes the waiter made but the manager on duty more than made up for his flaws. We were there April 18 and was even late for our 8 45 reservation. However we were greeted by a host that was so pleasant she didn t make a big deal about it. As I stated things started off shakey due to the waiter not coming to our table for ten minutes and then messing up our order. However people, the manager!!! Let me tell you this lady has impeccable customer service. Even if she wasn t really concerned with our irriatation you couldn t tell. SHe even sat down in the booth with us and listened. Im telling you if every restaurant had a manager like her their revenue would be sky high. I was so impressed with her, I can t stop talking about her. Then the food!!!! ummm ummm umm!!! is an understatement. The mac n cheese is to die for, the prime rib shuts mortons steak house DOWN!!!!! The food is ridiculously good... I am so happy I chose this restaurant and can t wait to go back.. Do your self a favor take a trip down there ann enjoy a wonderful meal...I can t wait to go back!!! Happy eating

When my girlfriend and I chose to eat here during a visit to National Harbor 2 weeks ago, we didn't even get real service. The place wasn't packed, yet it took the wait staff about 10-15 minutes after we arrived to get two glasses of water at our booth and afterwards another 20 minutes for someone to come and take our orders. Came here on a Friday night, without reservation, my friend and I waited an hour an half. I came here before on a date a few months before and thought the place was good at the time, where I had the crab cakes which was really good. This time, we Tried the jerk chicken fondue which was okay, the grapes that came with it were still stemmed, which is strange for the price you are paying for it and the calamari was tasty. We also split the rostassrie chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and ordered a side of Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was okay, had a taste of sweetness, which was weird, not my favorite.the chicken was kinda bland. But the mashed potatoes and asparagus were really good. The menu option is kinda limited, which made it really hard for my friend and I to try dishes, because it was nothing special. The food is overpriced for blandness. I wished we didn't wait for so long for food that was mediocre.

Nice location and a nice view even on a cloudy day. Nice selection of wines by the glass and on our server's recommendation we ordered the Buffalo shrimp for an appetizer...it was delicious with 5 jumbo shrimps and just the right mix of heat and blue cheese. The rotisserie chickens smelled wonderful, and next time I will order chicken and the cornbread.

Giving this place 4 stars mainly for upscale atmosphere and presentation. We were here for lunch and I had Angus burger while my wife had smoked turkey sandwich. Awesome restaurant. The cornbread is truly amazing and Austin have starter. The rotisserie chicken is their signature and is the juiciest and moist chicken I've ever had! The ribs were good too! If you must you can have a chicken rib combo but be prepared the portion is enough for two as it's a half chicken! Great value awesome ambiance right on the harbor.

Absolutely horrible. There were 5 of us, we waited an hour to be seated (which wasn't bad considering the crowd) but waited an hour to get our food after we ordered only for it to be cold. I would assume our order had been sitting for a while before we actually got it which reflects also the mediocre service. Our waitress was nice, but not that attentive, we never got our drinks refilled the entire meal. We ended up sharing our water. One of us literally walked around looking for our waitress after the hour passed to ask her were our food was when she informed us the chef just got our order in his hands, which meant more waiting. The grilled wings were not cooked thoroughly and were cold, fries stale, turkey sandwich with soggy bread from sitting with tomatoes. The only thing we enjoyed were the buffalo shrimp and the cornbread. Those are the only things I would recommend. The menu is pricey, and I don't mind pricey if my food and service match what I'm paying. $100 plus spent basically on appetizers for crappy food and service. Have no interest to return to this place. If you go though, have the $20 buffalo shrimp...I'll admit that was tasty.

Ok... So I did a review for the one in turnersville NJ.. That place serves one of the best prime ribs!! However, the one in natl harbor fell short of standard.. I asked for blackened end cut prime rib and got a regular one without them informing me abt it.. They pretty much decided for me that I should just eat a regular and not end cut.. I let that go.. However, the temperature was wrong too!! It was medium well as supposed to medium rare!! Ay! This place was kind of a mess.. Not sure if it's because it was busy that day but I just honestly felt like I wasted abt $100 for food that I coulda cooked better at home.. Pfft

Our appetizer, artichoke spinach dip was excellent. Sat down initially and it took about 10-15 mins to get drinks. We ordered our app and entrees together and they brought out the app about 3 mins before the entree. Both my wife and I ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich. The chicken had bones in it and my wife's was undercooked. The French fries were really good, but the mashed potatoes tasted like instant mashed potatoes. Great atmosphere and great view.

We (a coworker and I) were at the convention center and found this place while searching for dinner one evening. The weird thing about National Harbor is the disparity of reviews - I've never seen EVERY restaurant in an area have such polarized reviews. When we went, the place had only been open for a week. So we expected a few glitches, and I think it's unreasonable to expect any place to be a well-oiled machine so soon after they opened. We went on a busy Saturday night, so a 40-minute wait was the norm for every restaurant in the area. We were lucky enough to find a part of the bar where we could sit and bypass the wait. However, there was some confusion on whether or not 1) we could sit there as part of the bar, not the actual restaurant (where we'd have to wait); and 2) if we could get full service there. After a couple minutes, it was determined that we could sit there and have full service. Our waiter was incredibly enthusiastic and was very proud to be working there. He stated several times that this was the best restaurant he'd ever worked, and the food there was better than anywhere he'd ever worked. Yes, that could have been an act, but he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the place. He was attentive despite the busyness of the place. We ordered the corn bread. Oh, so good. It's got real corn, some cheese, and a hint of spicy peppers (but not too much). It's warm and moist, and the honey butter that went with it was mouth-watering. Cornbread is always a bit on the heavy side, but this was pretty light and very tasty. Highly recommended. There were three of us, and one of us got the margherita pizza.She said it was very good. The serving size was large - she took home almost half of it. The other two of us got salads (house salads, very good - ample dressing, perhaps too much for some - and fresh, with tasty combo of ingredients) and then shared a burger. We got the bacon cheeseburger. I must say, it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was moist and juicy, cooked to order, and plenty big enough for us to share after we'd had our salads. It would have been too much for either of us otherwise. The fries were excellent, too. All in all, a very good meal. All of the restaurants at the National Harbor are (IMO) overpriced, so this one isn't really an outlier in price but it was pricey. The cornbread appetizer (a full pan, though) was $11, I think the house salads were around that price as well, and the burger was close to $20. I would definitely go back, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Nice atmosphere stayed by the fire pit majority of the night . Calamari took 45 minutes to come out, and it taste like they cooked it in old grease. I ordered a Vodka and cranberry and that was made just right.

Very underwhelmed. I came for a late lunch. The service was slow. I ordered a vodka tonic and after a fifteen minute wait I got a glass of vodka. I asked for a glad of tonic water only to be told that clean glasses weren't available. I ordered a General Tso Turkey burger that was dry. The fries were cold. The managers of this place have been sitting in a meeting at a table give feet away and were oblivious to the bad experience we were having. Bright spot...Anthony the server wasn't bad. The location is great. The place looks nice.

Terrible service. Although the waitress was friendly she rarely came by. The worst part was seeing the chef, the waitresses and other employees standing around talking to two women sitting at a booth. After seeing each of these women get up and go to the kitchen to help themselves to food (even though we waited forever for ours) we realized they were the managers on duty. One of the women walked around the restaurant once then went back to eat at her booth. Bits of food were laying on floors under booths, the two other patrons who were there at the same time were just as frustrated as we were. It's a great location and it had a couple friendly employees but the lack of management presence left it a negative experience.

I went here to celebrate Mothers Day early. I ordered the wings, cornbread and spinach dip. My fiancé ordered the chopped chicken salad. Well the waitress brought him just a salad with no chicken. The Manager apologized and took it off our bill and gave him the correct salad. I really wanted to try a new drink but they didn't have a special menu of anything. They kept having all these huddles, which is to be expected because they are just opening. I will surely be back!!!

The Redstone grand opening on Cinco de Mayo was delicious. Simple salmon, lemon butter and garlic; pesto halibut with Thai chili. There are no wrong moves here. Redstone has it DOWN and they are (as the only other reviewer said) a much-needed up to the local ante. Foodies: love this place or not it is worth every bit of four stars. Excellent service. Great value, especially compared to the hotel-style and sports bar competition, and best of all a memorable experience.

My experience isn't consistent with some other reviewers. The National Harbor gets packed on nice days, especially on the weekend - I think that's one reason all the restaurants down there get bad reviews. Our time was no exception. We did manage to get there a bit early for a late lunch early dinner and got seated after a short wait. Our waiter was great - very prompt and friendly. Appetizers were amazing - we got the cornbread and the jumbo shrimp. We shared our meals and all of the entrees were just okay. Maybe our expectations were too high from how nice the restaurant looked, but I expected more for the price honestly. The view of the harbor, was the highlight of the restaurant.

We are staying at the Gaylord national hotel and convention Center for Magfest this weekend, and wanted to go on a double date night. We read some good, great, and awful reviews. And I have to say it was a wonderful experience. We made a reservation for 6:45. We arrived a little early and expected to wait a little, however we were sat right away. The decor was lovely the dark wood, the stone walls, and I loved that you could see the wood fire rotisserie. We were sat near the windows and the view was just incredible. You could see the harbor docks and the water and the Wheel that was lit up. It was beautiful. The server came over and was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. His name was Robert. He told us his favorites and popular items on the drink and food menus. He described everything so well and made everything sound good. We started off with the cornbread which was delicious with the maple butter. My boyfriend got a filet which was very tender and juicy and cooked perfectly. I got the chicken and ribs combo which was so good. The ribs fell right off the bone and the chicken was very tender and flavorful. My best friend got a wood fired bbq salmon which was surprisingly good. I would have never thought to put bbq on salmon. Her boyfriend got a burger. It was so tasty. you could taste the smoke and fire in that burger. Mmm. The food was a little pricey but it was definitely worth it and I will be back for sure. :-)

I'm a server, and I've always wondered why people are so quick to write yelp reviews when they have bad service, but now I know why. We stopped in at Redstone American Grill for lunch, and we decided to sit at the bar since the wait for the dining room was 30+ minutes. We were greeted fairly quickly, and our drink order was taken by the male bartender. 10 minutes later, the female bartender took our food order, then placed napkins plates and silverware in front of us. 20 MINUTES LATER, the male bartender walks up to us, sees our plates and silverware and says "ok I'm assuming someone took your food order?" As in...we wouldn't have gotten our food order taken until 30 minutes after we ordered our drinks if it were up to him. After this, neither bartender acknowledged us much at all. We got out food about 40 minutes after sitting down, my boyfriend ordered buffalo wings and they gave him plain wings, but we didn't want to wait for it to be corrected, so he just ate them. We had to ask for our check THREE times before getting it. Every time we asked for it the bartender would say yes, walk away, and start doing anything else besides getting on the computer to print our check. There was apparently some problem with my card when I gave it to her to start a tab, but it could have been taken care of 15 minutes earlier if she printed my check the first time I asked. Like I said, I'm a server so I totally get that the bartenders were busy. BUT, acknowledge your guests. Be apologetic if something is going to be slow, and I know you have a million things going on, but if someone outright ASKS for the check, it means they're ready to leave, give them the check. We also watched two ladies get up and leave the bar because it had been ten minutes and they didn't get greeted. This is the worst service I have ever had. I highly recommend management staffing 3 bartenders because clearly 2 can't handle it.

The food was okay but seemed dialed in and lacked passion. For those prices, i was expecting better. We gave our names to the hostess and went and waited at the bar. They said it would be like half an hour and after about an hour they announced they were closing. We hadnt noticed the time up until then because we were enjoying the company. We went and talked to them and explained the situation. They did accommodate us. They sat us down and said we had two minutes to order. Everything else in the harbor was already closed and we were hungry! I doubt Id go back. I got the short rib pizza. It was luke warm and didnt taste like much. The cheese plate was pretty but the best part was the rosemary crackers on the side. A very safe plate. I just left feeling very lackluster about it all. Gorgeous view though if you sit outside.

Where do I start?!?! I visited this restaurant for the first time last night based on the feedback from other Yelpers. First of all, the lay out of this place is awesome. There were plenty of people (both inside and outside), which is usually a good tell that it's a nice place to eat. Not so fat my friends (thanks Lee Corso). After a 15 minute wait, my party is finally seated. We order drinks from the bar which took quite a long time to make their way to our table. After submitting our dinner order, it was another 25 minutes before the food arrived. While patiently waiting for the food to arrive, I kept saying to myself "I hope the food isn't cold...I hope the food isn't cold". I also noticed that people who ordered after me were getting their food before me. The food finally came and you guessed it, it's cold, not even warm, but cold. The fries were cold, the burger was losing it's warmth, and the bacon was cold. I informed our waiter and he took it away. Before the "new" food arrived, I asked the waiter if the chef is cooking another meal, or just reheating my plate. The waiter didn't answer. The new food arrived and just as I imagined, the chef just simply reheated the burger. I informed the manager because three other surrounding tables were having problems as well. I'm not sure if it's usually like this, but I won't be returning here anytime soon.

I was once a big fan of Redstone, however it seems to have really gone downhill since I had last visited when they first opened. I came here with my sister for a birthday lunch. We sat outside on the patio overlooking the river which is something we had always wanted to do. The ambience and view was beautiful, however our waiter was horrible! He was inattentive and lacked knowledge about the dishes on the menu. He gave us incorrect information on several occasions and disappeared for long periods of time leaving my sister and I looking all around the restaurant for him. We ordered drinks in the beginning of the meal, and it took an hour to get them! It was a weekday lunch and the restaurant was certainly not busy. I had also ordered french fries with my meal, and they came almost an hour after my main course. To make matters worse, my main course was nothing like the description on the menu, and my french fries were dry and lacked flavor! The food was average and overpriced especially for lunch. The only redeeming factor about our experience was the very nice young lady at the front desk who sat us immediately and was very accommodating. After this experience, I will sadly not be returning...it's a shame, but it seems to be a trend with many of the restaurants in the National Harbor. They start off spectacular when they first open, and soon thereafter lose their luster! I don't recommend this place.

Don't bother!! Prices high, food poor, but excellent service! Two of four of us ordered the salmon special and ran out before 7 p.m. We then ordered the grilled meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes arrived room temperature. They brought more and they were the same temperature. Told them to forget it at that point. Meatloaf was dry probably because it was grilled and very salty. The fourth in our party had a cold baked potato but she didn't complain. They compensated us by giving us free desserts. Key lime pie and chocolate cake were served on warm plates. Go figure! Key lime pie was enormous and absolutely scrumptious! BTW we were not looking for compensation but only a somewhat decent meal and we were all very disappointed. J Check arrived and tip was figured with the desserts included and desserts were subtracted afterwards. That was ok as the service was superb by our waitress and the supervisor. Kudos for a fabulous view of the water!

Location and outdoor bar and seating area cannot be beat. Inside really is dark and seemed to miss the mark of a bright upbeat new place. We almost had feeling like the brown booths and dark decide needed an upgrade even though it is new. The food.... Looked great but we were disappointed. My wife and I eat out quite a bit at this style place and we are not picky at all. The calamari was not cooked well and the grilled buffalo shrimp was same. We know they are new and will give another chance. The one manager we talked to seemed a bit more concerned about their cool outdoor fire pit than bending over backwards to assist those around there who could not get a server or pay there bill. It's tough to manage when things are not going well in beginning but if people feel like they are listened to about their concerns they will be back

It was my first time in this establishment and it was an unforgettable negative experience. This was the worst dining experience that I have ever had the displeasure of having. This restaurant needs to spend a lot more time equipping its wait staff on what good customer service is and what it means to wow customers during the first a customer visit the restaurant. Because you will not get a second chance to make a first impression with that customer. After waiting about 45 minutes for appetizers the waiter said that our order was number 3 in the kitchen to be made. Worst dining experience ever.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. There just aren't any great restaurants at the Harbor. (Bond45 is good; but overpriced.) First, the good stuff. The service at Redstone was wonderful. The cornbread and fries were very good. The location is amazing. Now for the not so good. The ribs lacked flavor. The chicken was bland. The drinks are overpriced. To add insult to injury, my martini glass was only 3/4 full and very weak. After being "schooled" (and not very nicely!) by one of the floor managers, I now know that Redstone martini glasses are too big for the amount of liquor that they use. (Why not use smaller glasses and charge less, Redstone???) If they can work on better seasoning of their food and FULL martini glasses, I'll go back for a full meal. Until then, I'll visit for a glass of wine and some cornbread and fries on the deck.

Really delicious lunch! And we got to sit on what is referred to as the Lido deck for the meal. Gorgeous day to score outdoor seating. We started with the buffalo shrimp appetizer and the calamari appetizer. Both delicious. The shrimp were LARGE and tasty. You get 3 for $13 or 5 for $19. Two of us got the Redstone burger with fries. It comes with Applewood bacon. It was cooked just right (medium). I think those were $15. The third person got a lunch special consisting of kale and grilled salmon. He said it was delicious. It looked very appetizing. The soda was a tad flat as another reviewer noted. One person ordered a margarita and he said it was average---a bit on the sweet side. I would say prices are in line with the area market and the location. I think parking prices at National Harbor are a total gouge but that has nothing to do with the restaurant and was not factored into my review.

Had a late lunch here on Labor Day but wish I hadn't. The hostess was rude, wasn't welcoming and could careless if we ate there or not. After dealing withe hostess, we decided to eat the bar thinking we might get friendlier service. Our bartender/servers were friendly but they took forever. We ordered two salads and a French onion soup. I expected the soup to come out first but never did everything came out at once after we waited 40mins for our food. Service is slow and if u have all the time in the world come eat here. But I would never recommend or ever come back. I guess since it's a touristy area they will always have business but not mine.

The Redstone American Grill is located along the Harbor waterfront in National Harbor. Parking is available nearby in a surface lot and a gargage. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a combination of stone and wood with windows with a view of National Harbor. Outside seating including an outside bar is available. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We would definitely visit the Redstone American Grill again.

We had brunch there recently and arrived right when they opened. I think that was a bit too early for them, they were still getting stuff out for brunch. Brunch was good but it was served lukewarm, at best. The Bloody Marys were excellent. They need work on how to serve hot things hot.

This restaurant has a wonderful view with a fantastic atmosphere. Our waiter, Kevin, was one of the best waiters I have ever had, and it was only his third day on the floor (which I did not know until the end of our meal). The menu was fantastic, which made it very hard to choose a meal. The food was very good, which justifies the slightly higher prices. We had the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. It was less creamy, with the majority of the dip made up of spinach and artichokes. I ordered the coconut crusted cod, which did not come out with coconut from what I can tell, but it was still delicious. My husband had the Cajun ribeye and he said it was delicious. The best part of the meal was definitely the dessert. We had the big cookie and ice cream with caramel and chocolate sauce. It is big enough for at least three people! I would definitely go back, as long as we have Kevin again.

Horrendous customer service by both the servers and manager!! It took our group 20 minutes to catch the attention of someone to ask to be waited on and to get water. She said she'd be right there and never came back. A different server then came by to take our order. After another 30min he came by (without water) to ask us again what our order was. He said the order had gotten 'messed up' but we knew he had never put the order in since he didn't remember the orders we had given him earlier and he had to write them down again. We finally received our waters after being there for 45 min! 75 min later we received our burgers and 1/2 of them were not how we ordered them but we didn't say anything since we were already pretty upset. During this entire time we had spoken to 2 managers. The staff didn't seem to care the least bit and we never even got an 'I'm sorry' from them. We even saw the 2nd manager walk right by our table when she was leaving for the night. You would think she would have stopped by to make sure everything was ok and to smooth over any issues. The one star is only for the cornbread. The crust on it was amazing.

The food was decent: short ribs tender, filet steak was not as tender as expected, the NY strip steak order was well done rather than medium. One person in our party couldn't begin his dinner as the waiter had cleared his silverware post salad and didn't bring new silverware with his dinner plate. We finally flagged down another server to bring silverware. 2 stars for the so-so food experience but mostly for the lack of air conditioning. I suggested this new restaurant, open just a few days, to our business group that was staying at the Gaylord National Hotel for a conference. It was recommended by a local shop keeper who had attended their soft opening free tasting. Our party will think twice about going here again as the restaurant does not turn on the air conditioning or it doesn't work. If you want to dress up for dinner and feel like you're in a sauna the minute you walk in the door, this is the place for you. The men in our group excused themselves from the table several times to go wipe the sweat off their face. The women didn't fare much better. Everyone at the table commented on the unbearable heat. The stand out positive was the great location on the water.

Not happy with the cleanliness of the cook. After being seated by the window it took approximately 10 minutes for a server to even take our order after watching 6 other servers pass by the table not even looking over to say hi. Finally after a sever took our order I went to use the restroom. After walking in I notice one of the cooks had just finished using the urinal and was proceeding to leave the restroom without washing his hands. I blurred out, "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO WASH YOUR HANDS"? He looked at me then turned around to go wash his hands, ( with an attitude) and then he exited the restroom. Of course I advise the management as to what happenedn. They confronted him in the kitchen an he didn't deny it. Management sent him home. Clearly this is a normal habit of m a y b e that one cook needless to say I will not ever go back to this restaurant again. This app is asking me to pick a star rating I'm only picking one star because there's no negative stars to pick.

After a very long wait, our brunch arrived not even vaguely warm. It had obviously been sitting in the window for some time. The eggs were congealed and the toast was cold and only toasted on one side. The "bottomless" breakfast arrived without fruit and when additional french toast was requested, a half slice of undercooked bread arrived. The service and the food were well below average. The service was terrible. It started out great because they accomodated us on the lido deck on the water. It went downhill from there. I ordered iced tea. They were out of lemons. I ordered the salad with steak. When it arrived and there was a "medium rare" stick in the meat, that's when I realized the waitress never even asked me how I wanted it cooked. We had to call her back to get silverware. Upon arrival with the silverware, there were no napkins provided so we had to ask for them as well. The Key Lime Pie was delicious though!! Overall, I wouldn't waste my money and go again. It was $54 for two salads, two iced teas, and a piece of pie.

This is the second time I gave this place a chance and was still very disappointed. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my son and husband for a late lunch during a slow period. The service was veeerrryyy slow & our server, Crystal, did not smile one time. We sat outside and waited 15 minutes before we were greeted. The wine is way overpriced for this type of venue. I can get a cheaper bottle of higher quality wine at a 5 star steakhouse in DC. I ordered a $17 chicken rotisserie salad that was mediocre. Wilted salad and fatty meat that I had to pick apart & pull fatty pieces out of my salad. The men ordered a burger which they said was ok, but nothing spectacular for the price. No condiments were offered and my husband wanted mustard or mayonnaise, but it took so long for the server to come back and check on us that he was halfway through his burger before she asked if there was anything g else we would like. The bottom line is $100 bill for two burgers, a salad, and a few drinks. I guess we paid to people watch. Pass this place up and go to M&S or Rosa Mexicano

I came here on my birthday. This was my first time but unfortunately it will be my last. It was extremely hectic at the door. My table wasn't ready even though I made a reservation online. Good thing some of my party arrived 5 minutes earlier because they were able to get a booth so I canceled my reservation and joined them. It seemed to take forever to get drinks and our food. My waitress brought me the wrong drink so I had to have her take it back. When my food finally arrived, one of my sides (coleslaw) tasted horrible so I had her take it back. She suggested I try the mac & cheese so I did. It wasn't to my liking either so I just told her to take it back and I'll just enjoy my meal without that additional side. Someone in my party told her it was my birthday and she sort of brushed it off. Before she left she did wish me a happy birthday. I was sort of concerned as to what their procedure was for birthday desserts (most restaurants give a small piece of cake or scoop of ice cream free with a little singing/celebration). Our waitress didn't mention anything so someone else asked her and she said she couldn't do anything for me. We asked the hostess and she informed us that we had to purchase dessert, let them know someone in our party is celebrating their birthday, then they'll add the sparkler to the dessert...wow. One would think for the prices on that menu, a free scoop of ice cream would be given on someone's birthday. From the food to the slow service I was over it and ready to end my meal and leave. When I got my check the waitress didn't discount my meal even AFTER I requested she take back the side so I just told her to give me some fries to go and she did. I wish I read these reviews before going here. I could've gone to a cheaper restaurant and had a better dining experience. It was my birthday so I just wanted to go to a nice restaurant and enjoy the service from beginning to end..maybe next year. The perk of the night was getting free drinks all night thanks to a gentleman at the bar.

This is our first time at this place and we left very unhappy. Got there right after lunch and get seated pretty fast in the indoor area by my request ( way too hot for outside ). Everything started good, the waitress was very polite and attentive for the first five minutes. After that everything went downhill. After the drinks arrived it took about 35 minutes for the starters and after that another 35 minutes for the meal. Very slow kitchen and staff. I don't have an answer why because was not that busy inside ( the people on table next to us waited for more then 45 minutes to get their meal, just crazy). Our waitress just stop coming by and when I asked some other girl from the staff what happened with our order, she gave me an attitude, an eye roll and try to talk back to me. The food was not special at all, generic with nothing special to remember. Everything was way to salty and this is from person who always adds salt, I could not finish my salad because of it. What i noticed on this visit to the National Harbor is that the prices went way up and the quality and service way down, not only at this place, but in few others.

This was an off the cuff visit and we were most impressed. Our waiter Marcus was outstanding. Very personable and attentive. Anything barbecued is to die for. We had the breakfast flatbread made of cornbread. They also have a nice outdoor fire pit. Well we will be back for another weekend in DC!!!

If I had 1/2 star it would have received it! Service, Food, quite poor... Does this place have management? OVERALL: Maybe it is still in its second month of opening jitters, but this experience was deplorable. Ordered the appetizer, some drinks and then a few dishes of the rotisserie chicken... drum roll please .... Let's just say the entree made it before the the appetizer and drinks... once we got the food and our drinks and corn bread came, our waitress came over with a check... REALLY!?!?!? I had to get up to return the menus to the front desk, request where our appetizers were along with asking for extra plates, etc... FOOD: Ok... corn bread... $11 was overpriced and not very good. It was soggy and yes, my son who has the palate of a Michelin Chef spit it out... I found it to be either soaked in oil, batter, etc... I found it quite bad for the price, but if it was free I would say the same thing. The chicken was actually pretty good, but the sauce was too salty and not needed. Lastly, all of our food came out luke warm at best. For the price ... really? SERVICE: I think I wrote most of it up top, but I noticed that 3 other tables look as pissed off as I felt inside and realized complaining would have done nothing as the manager approached 2 of the tables and it did not seem to help. Maybe it was our waitress who was over her head, but ... management needs to take accountability. BOTTOM-LINE: Overpriced, mediocre food, and horrific service and kitchen time... I recommend the Peri-Peri chicken place up the street.

Today we tried Redstone American Grill and are so pleased with this restaurant. My husband ordered the rib-eye (medium well) and it comes with two sides. He had the broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was very tasty and the steak grilled correctly. I ordered the Grilled Steak Cobb Salad and the macaroni and cheese side. Just awesome delicious. I also liked that the macaroni and cheese wasn't mushy. The restaurant is very nice. Not one server or busboy was mis-dressed, meaning their pants were pulled up, shirts tucked in, no underwear showing. However, there were two of the ladies that wore shirts too revealing to be considered business attire. Also their bras were showing. Very nice place.

Excellent service got seated quickly, almost immediate response to take our drink order, server knew the menu well. Appetizer was very good, and did not get that distant look when I asked if there was enough to share. Entrees arrived in a good sequence to the appetizers. Appealing appearance, good aroma, cooked to perfection, and the most important part tasted great! Other than a storm blowing in that interrupted our outdoor experience you could have not planned it better. Oh and the key lime pie what a generous portion and one of the best I've ever had and I'm working on my sixth decade. Thank you for a great dining experience.

This is my third time eating here and HIGHLY disappointing. The first time was in May shortly after they opened. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. They brought us a stack of plates for the cake. Plates were a mix of clean ones and filthy ones. The next time I came just for drinks, they were great. This time for brunch. I ordered the crab Benedict, where the hollandaise sauce came broken and with too much vinegar. The poached eggs were overcooked. The manager came out and when I explained I didn't eat meat, he said we'll make you a vegetarian omelette. What came out was a loaded baked potato omelette full of bacon. Really??? Needless to say I won't be returning for anything.

Ate there twice while I was vacationing in DC. Pretty good, waitresses did a good job. Both times I ate the Redstone Burger, nothing else on the menu appealed to me price wise. Expensive but isn't everything in DC pricey? I do wish there were more fries for the price paid. I also did have some cornbread, quite good actually. The maple butter on the other hand, doesn't seem to jive with the cornbread itself.

Kitchen is 95% scratch! That had me sold before my first bite. Its so uncommon to find a restaurant with such high quality food that isn't an arm and a leg. Yeah, its about $40/person for a decent appetizer and entree, but OMG is it worth it! The staff is very knowledgeable about their menu and the happenings of the kitchen. Kitchen prep starts FIVE HOURS before the restaurant opens! Cozy, dim lighting inside is warm and inviting. Rotisserie chicken oven can be seen from the main dining area as well. The seating outside is right off the water, but if you're in the mood for a bit more casual atmosphere, aim for the outside bar area which is equally just as nice. And for my ladies who like WINE: they pour a hefty 7 ounce glass! Won't he do it!

The music was quite loud and place was packed due to a event at the Gaylord. We made a 630 reservation but stopped by around 530 and were sat within 15 minutes, it was a table at the bar, but a table nonetheless. We ordered ribeye to share, with garden veggies, and added a side of Mac and cheese. The steak was good although cooked a bit past medium but was Still tender and very flavorful. The Mac and cheese was dry and lacking salt. The veggies were soggy and not hot. The cost was over 54.00... And we even had only water to drink. I would say quite overpriced for the meal, but to be expected being in the harbor.

I heard there was a new spot at the National Harbor, right by the water, excellent views and good drinks, so although I'm not a frequent visitor of the National Harbor I decided to check it out, and I was not disappointed. It was a really nice day, so the harbor was really packed and when we arrived at the restaurant there were 11 names on the waiting list for outdoor seating. We put our name on the list, and they took down my phone number so they could send me a text when the table was ready. We decided to look for available seating in the indoor bar area while we waited. We were lucky and found seats, and we were greeted immediately by Maurice, one of the bartenders. Maurice suggested the doli, which is pineapple infused vodka. I had mine chilled in a martini glass. It was light and refreshing, a perfect summer time drink. From the indoor bar area we could see the views of the water, which was nice. We noticed there were lots of orders of cornbread being brought out to other diners, and Maurice highly recommended that we try it. I personally did not like the cornbread. Some things I just prefer to keep simple, and cornbread is one of them. The green chiles and cheese were just not appealing to me. It was early in the day, so I opted for something on the lighter side to eat. I went with the crab cake sandwich without the bread, since the crab cake entree has two crab cakes and I only wanted one. The crab cake was topped with a corn salsa and sriracha aioli and I ordered a side of mashed potatoes instead of the fries. The crab cake was delicious!!!! The corn salsa and aioli flavors were a perfect accent to the all lump crab cake. The mashed potatoes were ok, nothing exciting. My friend ordered the barbecue chicken with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The side salad was entree sized, and the chicken was juicy with plenty of flavor. During the middle of our late lunch I received a text from the hostess stand advising that our table was ready. We were comfortable with our seating and wanted to stay at the bar, so all we had to do was text the hostess back to make notification, and they move to the next reservation on the list.....that simple....no need to even leave your seat. Loved that. Overall the experience was enjoyable and I would definitely go back to enjoy drinks and lunch and take in the views. As far as the cons during my visit, I think some of the items on their menu are over-priced. There is an area in the back where the customers can see the chickens on the rotisserie as they cook.....bad thing is this area is right by the bathrooms....poor design placement. But Maurice, the bartender, was excellent and although I didn't like the cornbread, all of his other recommendations were right on point, he was friendly and professional. The quality of the food and drinks was really good. The atmosphere was upbeat and casual. If they put more places like this down at the harbor, I may decide to visit more frequently.

Came in and ordered drinks with friends. The waitress took at lest 20 mins to return (under estimation) saying that she forgot the order. Some time between taking the order again and delivering it, our new waitress caught an attitude. When I tried to place another drink order, she rudely and shortly informed me of her not "working" our area and that she would send someone over. This "someone" never showed up. When I spoke with the manager she was of no help or consolation. She didn't even ask how she could assist me personally since one of her employees didn't even show up!! Management is clearly incompetent. I left feeling very disrespected and upset. And you can absolutely believe I will not be returning. And if you want to be taken care of as a patron, I would suggest you do the same.

If you sit at a table in Angelica's section, you're in luck! She is personable, attentive and fun! She was "teamed up" with another server who did not seem happy to be there and it showed! We couldn't decide on a place to rest our weary selves and fill our hungry bellies. We walked into Redstone since it was right in front of us and sat at a prime table in the open seating outdoor bar area. Great viewing spot to watch the sun set over the Harbor. No complaints about the food...spinach dip was delicious, drinks were a little strong for me but oh-so-tasty nonetheless, and we had no issues with our entrees and dessert. All in all it was still a bit pricey but the location and Angelica's service added to the value.

This is hard for me to review... the food at this place in my opinion is FREAKING AWESOME... but we have been there 4 times now, twice for dinner and twice for brunch... and the service has been mediocre at best, and ranging to downright AWUFL... My friends call it "growing pains" for a new restaurant, so we will see if it improves with time...the food keeps me coming back...the jerk chicken fondue is the best thing on the menu in my opinion, but the buffalo shrimp and ribs are also a success... The Benedicts and the complimentary morning bread (which changes every couple of weeks) make for an awesome brunch as well. Also, they need to get hip and accommodate large / private parties

My first visit here was for my birthday brunch on 6/08/2014, despite the less than stellar reviews i had read previously (long wait time, reservations not honored, sub par food). I wanted to spend time at the Harbor for my bday, so Redstone for food it was (note: most dining options on the harbor don't have the best reviews). I had reservations, we were seated right away and promptly helped by the waitress, Orders came timely, huge portions, delicious food and the views were great from my inside seat (as they dont take reservations for the patio). i wanted to be outside, but didn't want to make a big stink about it. The brunch menu was limited in my opinion (about ..not exactly...4-5 brunch items and 5-6 lunch items), but a great selection of your standard brunch fare. Everything we ordered tasted as expected, but better with a Redstone touch! My party of five dined on crab benedict-- we even ordered an extra plate for the table to share, french toast --yumm-o! Did i detect a little rum in the bread or syrup? The jury's still out on that one. Salmon omelet was tender, fresh and hot... again big portions. My sister got pancakes. Huge pancakes, bigger than her head, but she had to order a side of eggs. It only came with fruit and two bacon slices. No bottomless mimosas. I'm unsure of what brunch cocktails were offered, but it wasn't readily apparent from the one page brunch menu. The bathroom was neat and clean. The place is brand new, but i hope they keep this up! The waitress left a bit to be desired, which takes a star off of the rating. She took our orders, made sure our food was satisfactory, checked on us often ("you guys ok?"). That's what you want and expect right? Yes, but! Offering us the complimentary blueberry lemon bread would have been helpful, instead of letting us order the $11 small skillet of cornbread as an appetizer. With a child in our party, a suggestion of kids meal options would have been great so I could then determine if it was appropriate for him or not (he's 10 but didn't need a whole plate of pancakes or french toast that an adult couldn't finish!). I was only clued in once I saw kids cups whizzing past our table. No anticipation of refills, extra napkins or offered any other meal options..i.e. dessert, coffee? we had to request all of it. she did her job, but did not go beyond that. With a new restaurant, you'd imagine the waiter saying "is this your first time dining with us? Specials are..." nothing of the sort. ? When i wanted my eggs fried hard/scrambled instead of poached on my eggs benedict the waitress hesitated on making the request, but i insisted. SIGH Overall, I'm a fan and will be back to try other menu options and drinks. The rest of the staff seemed very well mannered and invested in you having a great dining experience!

I went here today with 4 other ladies from work - we all loved it! The decor is beautiful as well as comfortable. We sat at a table overlooking the harbor/wheel and even though it was a rainy day, the view was great. John was our waiter - non of us had ever been here before, and he took his time explaining the menu to us. He was knowledable, friendly and had a sense of humor - we were lucky to get him as our server! THANKS JOHN! We ordered a fondu as an appietizer which was good. Between the 5 of us we had a few flat breads and salads - everything was simply delicious! Presentation was nice, and everything was fresh and well prepared. Dessert was awesome too - we had the bananna pudding and choc chip cookie sundae which was served in a small cast iron skillet - very cool AND delicious. Have no problem reccomending Redstone and John - I will be back!

The good -location, by the water, outdoor seating -large and spacious with good decor -when the sun was setting they lowered the shades so the patrons weren't blinded -friendly staff (ordered single malt scotch "neat" was brought out on the rocks, he kindly corrected it though.) The bad -food was inconsistent -cornbread and buffalo shrimp apps great -main courses I tried: prime rib and chicken came out room temp, sirloin was cooked well but underseasoned, bbq ribs were good, crab cakes were no match if you've had anything remotely like Faidleys in bmore (ie not much lump crab meat used, mostly stringy backfin). -Sodas were FLAT and beers on tap were FLAT. We ended up having to order bottled beer. Server told management about the sodas. Server comes back and says the syrup has been changed.... shows you the incompetence of the management when they change the syrup when the complaint was clearly that all the sodas were FLAT. Sure enough the new sodas came to our table exactly as before... FLAT.

On 08 August, around 6 p.m., our party of three were seated at a nice table street-side (harbor-side was packed), and were quickly approached by one of the best servers I've ever had when dining! Thanks for an enjoyable experience, Kenneth! We each ordered a martini- one vodka martini (Grey Goose & olives), one Vodka-infused pineapple martini, and a very yummy Lemon Drop martini. All three arrived in great time. We decided to have a wedge of the Lodge Cornbread with the accompanying Maple Butter, which was absolutely delicious- tiny bits of jalapeño with a delicious crusty, sweet topping. My sister received a bowl of their daily soup, Chicken Noodle. I had to take a picture! Packed with chunks of chicken and veggies; a meal in itself. She loved it! For dinner, my Mom ordered the BBQ chicken & ribs combo, which came with French fries and cole slaw (my sister and Mom were sharing this meal- Kenneth already had the extra plate ready), and I ordered the Simple Lemon garlic oil grilled halibut, with Basmati rice, veg of the day Haricot verts, chefs salsa and grilled citrus. The GM, Joel, stopped by our table to chat, and I mentioned I wasn't sure what wine would enhance my meal. He mentioned he was also a sommelier, and gave me two choices with great descriptions! I went with Mer Soleil Silver, an un-oaked Chardonnay. Perfect!! All three of us had the most wonderful dining experience!! We will definitely try to get back there!!!

If you are stuck at National Harbor, then this place is definitely one of your best options - I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant this good in this location. The menu is of the typical American fare, but the food and drinks in general are solid. The complimentary blueberry bread that comes out during brunch is also a nice touch. While the prices are a tad high, it's not unreasonable when you consider the location and the quality of the food.

Stubbled across this place and a great find. I'll preface this review by saying that they just opened and the corporate helpers were there to ensure everything went smoothly. That being said they accomplished their goal. Great location and the layout takes advantage of it. The wood fired rotisserie chicken smelled awesome and I regret not trying it. I had the brunch burger which was fantastic. I especially liked the homemade pickles slices, seems kinda minor but let's you know the little things are being made from scratch. The complementary breakfast bread is awesome as well. The pancakes where huge and fluffy. The walleye sandwich was on par with every other item we ordered. The Bloody Mary's are a meal unto themselves. I recommend the homemade pineapple vodka, look for the kettles when you walk in. Overall a great experience. If they maintain this level of service, quality and fair prices they will be tough to compete with. Keep up the great job guys.

I was stopping by the DC area on a leisure weekend when Redstone was recommended by two separate people - one quest and another a staff member at the National Harbor Westin. We tried it out and other than the noise level the quality and quantity of food, presentation and extensive menu exceeded expectations. So much so that we went back again tow days later. I would highly recommend the Turkey Sandwich (moist-which is very tricky and the artisan cheese platter. The wedge of cornbread is quite good and they have an extensive wine and drink list. The place was crowded on both dining experiences and the only caveats are the time required for the food to arrive and the noise level. If not for that would have received a five-star review. Will definitely be back to sample more of their menu.

Jerk chicken appetizer is worth the wait, but our wait was almost 2 hours. Arrived at 8pm, appetizer arrived at 9:30. Food arrived at table at 9:48 pm. Good food but kitchen needs to do better. Ask to be seated at a table served by Angelica. She was very responsive.

This truly is a great dining experience, from the view to the food and then to the service (mostly). We went in around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately, which was fantastic. Our waitress TJ was really attentive at the beginning and led us through the menu and recommended some of her favorites. We got the ribs and the barbecue basted rotisserie chicken. The meals were great and the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were AWESOME. As per usual at restaurants our waitress disappeared after we got our food and we got drink refills as we were receiving our check, so we left full cups on the table for them. Had dinner with family and good friends Friday evening 03/27/15. This was my second visit and will be returning again. Food was very good and Candace our server was excellent and very accommodating. She never made us feel rushed and yet was around when needed. How ever the gentleman that came around a few times to the table to see how we were doing really didn't appear to have very good people skills. Seemed to be on auto drive and really gave the impression he truly didn't care all that much. He'd ask if everything was okay to one of our dinners making it appear there was no one else at the table. He also came around to offer dessert and I felt his selling of dessert was missed represented. Ex. said had banana cream pie, one of my favorites, I ordered it and never have I seen banana cream pie like this. More like a pudding with a glob of whip cream and two bananas sticking out. We also ordered the red velvet cake. needless to say the desserts were tasted and then pushed aside. He needs to give a better explanation of dessert. Would not order dessert again there. My other issue is with the person answering phone. Needs to work on her skills with answering phone. Overtime I have called have felt like I was bothering her. Finally after two calls to make my last reservation asked to speak to manager who's excellent. With that being said i still will be back. Have already made another reservation and hopefully I can give at least a 4 star review after visit.

Great service, friendly staff, beautiful setting. All our meals were well-prepared and delicious. The rotisserie chicken is their specialty and was a stand-out at our table--we highly recommend you try it! I visited early on a Saturday evening (12/6/14, 5 pm) with hubby and 2 kids (ages 2, 8). It was already crowded and there was a 45-minute wait for the walk-ins, so I was glad we had a reservation. The staff made an effort to accommodate the kids by offering a few kids-meal items (not on the menu... you have to ask), but IMHO this is not a family-friendly restaurant. For example, no crayons or kids menu or other diversions. Probably fine for kids who are well-behaved. So, although we chose this place because it was recommended on Yelp as kid-friendly, I would not describe it that way. I'd definitely return for a date-night or with friends.

Had been following their progress on Facebook as to when they would be opening at National Harbor. Was excited to learn they opened May 5th so I immediately made reservations online for 3 weeks later. Before trying new places, I like to give them a couple weeks to work out the inevitable problems that will arise. We arrived around 12:30 during a busy brunch rush but was immediately seated since it was only 2 of us. We had a lovely young lady for our server. The view from inside was great. Right by the water and the new Capital Wheel. We ordered the jerk chicken fondue appetizer which was great. We also had the complimentary blueberry brunch bread. Warm and topped with a sweet drizzle and melted butter. Awesome. I had the turkey sandwich with fries and my wife had the steak and eggs. We both enjoyed our meals. The only issue was it took a very loooong time between receiving our drinks and appetizer. But the great view helped make up for the long wait. I will definitely be back to try the dinner menu.

We went here because of the reviews putting it at above average. The burgers we're ho hum (we got the redstone burgers done medium), the fries were meh and the best thing about the whole dinner was the wine. The waitress was really sweet but overwhelmed so it was slow going, it didn't help that it was raining cats and dogs out so the place was packed to the gills.

Just OK. I went here with my family to celebrate my sister in law's birthday. I ordered the chicken and rib plate that came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I also had a few drinks and cornbread with my meal. First let me say that the corn bread was very good, I enjoy a well made corn bread and this one didn't disappoint. Now for my main course this is where the mediocre comes into places. The ribs were not as tender as I would have expected. I really was hoping that the meat would fall off the bone but that was not the case. The mashed potatoes were not creamy or flavorful and the asparagus were so big that it was intimidating. I just ate the tops and left the rest. The prices do not fit the food but I would be willing to try it again everyone can have an off day.

All were fantastic but we shared and the vote for first place went to ribs. You have to try the corn bread, very sweet and soft , reminded me of spoon bread. The banana cream pie is not to be missed. Again, very rich, we split one three ways! They only opened Monday, and today is Friday! Makes even more amazing.

Went here today with some friends that were visiting from out of town. We sat down at the bar and waited for, no joke, 20 minutes without one of the bartenders acknowledging us. They looked at me multiple times, but not even a hello. I'm a pretty patient person being in the business myself, but that was the worst experience ever. Said something to management on my way out, but I think they could care less. I literally downloaded the Yelp app today so I could comment on their complete lack of care and customer service.

Teri and I decided on a Chardonnay and a Stella Artois. The appetizers were the wedge of cornbread and the buffalo shrimp. Food and service was efficient and congenial. The table for two in the outdoor bar provided us with a terrific view of the Ferris wheel, the sculpture "Awakening" and the outdoor big video screen.

I've been to Redstone a couple of times and I've only tried a few of their items. The appetizer wings are pretty darn good. But what made me come back is that my friend told me about their baby back ribs. When I had the chance to try them. Man oh man! They were so good! When the meat falls right off the bone, then you know that's a good sign. Ribs are a must try! Also I tried their chocolate chip cookie sundae. Pretty huge for a dessert, could be shared with 2-3 people. Other than that, service is pretty good, and the environment/seating is nice as well!

Read some bad reviews and was a little hesitant to try this place. Came here on a Monday night, so needless to say it wasn't busy at all. We were able to get a table with a great view of the harbor. Our server was very attentive and friendly and so were the rest of the staff. The food here is unique and pretty tasty. The cornbread was probably my favorite. It's crispy on top and warm and buttery in the middle and it comes with cinnamon butter - YUM! Def could see this being a good date night spot; it has a romantic and cool ambiance with one of the best views of the harbor.

The food was OK, but overpriced. I had their signature roasted chicken and found it to be lacking good hunks of meat. My date raved about theirs, but had also imbibed in a few cocktails before dinner. Service was exceptional, but atmosphere was much too busy for my tastes.

Fun place with great decor and excellent food. The bartender, James, was a really friendly guy who kept forgetting to bring our drinks but he was so likable we didn't care. We loved the place and would definitely go back!

My brother wanted to take me (a mommy to be) and our mother here for Mother's Day. We arrived for our reservation and was seated promptly. I was disappointed that the entree I wanted was unavailable (the short ribs which I was originally told would be ready in 20 minutes, then told they don't have them at all, then told by a manager when I asked for clarity because i have a craving for short ribs, that it took hours to cook and wouldn't be available during my dining experience). Um...ok. I was bummed, but ordered something else off the menu. After waiting 45 minutes and seeing the diners across from us come, eat and go, my brother went to the manager (the same lady who told me the menu item was unavailable because it would take hours to cook) to see what the hold up was. She walked off and dismissively said she would send over our server. RUDE!!!!!!!! Another server (not our original server) saw what happened and came over to ask us what we ordered and said he would check on it. He came back and said he would send over a different manager. When Leah arrived (different manager), she told us that our food was on the way and apologized. There was no explanation as to WHY our food took over an hour. I'm assuming that they never put the order in, but again, we weren't giving a reason. Leah did comp the meal, but it was still very disappointing. I really wanted to like this place.

We arrived at 715PM to celebrate a graduation. We sat outside for the view but I didn't realize that would be a mistake. They seemed to have forgotten about us. We placed drink orders (3 wines and 2 scotches) where it is simple enough to pour and serve but we didn't get our drinks until 30min later. Our food was ordered but after an hour of waiting we decided to cancel the order and leave. At no point did our server come out to see how we were doing while waiting for our late food and drinks. I doubt we will return. They did try to right the wrong by giving us a 50 dollar voucher for the next visit but I'm not sure that we will use it...

Service was good. My waitress was always checking in an on. She provided excellent recommendations.I got a Thai chicken salad and it was yummy. I wish that the meat was served warm. That would have taken the salad from good to great. The prices are absurd. I really wanted dessert but it was just wayyy over my budget.

The hostess staff was friendly and told us we would have about a 15 minute wait inside and outside was all self seating. We were seated along a window and had the most gorgeous view of the water, boats and Capital Eye. Shortly after being seated, our waitress (Shannon) greeted us and asked for drink orders. I asked for sweet tea which they didn't have and then asked for a list of soft drinks. I was told they had coke products as well as strawberry lemonade, etc. I requested a strawberry lemonade but before I could even finish my words, she cut me off rudely to tell me there were no refills on the lemonades. Um, ok... I guess I was taking too long to pick out a soda because she then said, I'll just bring you guys some water and come back later for your drink order. I mentioned to my fiancee that she had already rubbed me the wrong way with her tone and slight attitude. My fiancee and I were also not impressed with the menu... there wasn't a whole lot to chose from, especially for someone like me that has a lot of restrictions on what i could eat. We pondered leaving and going somewhere else but decided to stay. We should have gone with our first instinct and left. Shannon finally came back and took our drink orders. I decided on a Coke with Grenadine, in which she blatantly rolled her eyes at me and said... so you want a cherry coke? Fiancee ordered a Coors Light. We placed our food order at that time as well, I wanted the meatloaf with Mushroom Marsala sauce. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and the seasonal vegetable. I asked her what the veggie was and she said it was green beans and corn. I can't eat either of those vegetables so I asked to substitute Mac and Cheese since they were the same price on the menu- $8. Oh that'll be a $2 upcharge. Fine... whatever (so over her by this time). Fiancee ordered the Salmon Victoria. About 10 minutes later, someone comes to our table with a Corona... uh, nope, wrong table. Corona returns two minutes later... he ordered a Coors not a Corona. I will say the waitress did come back and apologized for putting it in wrong. 5 minutes later, the Coors comes out, but I still have no coke. another 5 minutes passes, finally got my coke. Literally an hour passed until our food came out. I look at my plate and see two plain, dry pieces of meatloaf and asparagus.The food runner glanced at my plate and noticed no sauce, so he asked which I wanted and brought it out to me. I stopped our waitress to let her know I had received asparagus instead of my mashed potatoes. In a nutshell, she argued with me about what I had ordered, instead of just apologizing and fixing the error. She rudely said to me.. so do you want me to take the whole plate back or what? I said no, I waited over an hour, so I'm going to eat. Please just bring the potatoes to me on the side, like my mac and cheese. She literally rolled her eyes at me AGAIN. I guess since I didn't want her to take my plate she thought I was going to eat the asparagus too. Meanwhile, my fiancees food has yet to appear and when it did, it was BBQ chicken, not Salmon. Once again, she had put in the order wrong. For a minute I actually began to think that maybe I had read the menu wrong and my dish was supposed to come with asparagus. But with the beer being wrong, my food being wrong and my fiancee receiving the wrong entree all together. I realized, we weren't the problem. She was! It took another 10-15 minutes for the correct entree to come out for my fiancee. By this point, she was completely ignoring our table. For the rest of our dining experience, she never came back to see if everything was ok. She would literally check every other table around ours and completely ignore us. Food was mediocre at best. Salmon was ok, but not worth 30 bucks. And let's say, the only thing on my plate that tasted good was the mac and cheese. We noticed that there were 2 managers kind of making their rounds as people ate. But then I noticed that the mgrs were coming back around the same tables and having longer conversations. All i could make out from each conversation was, "I do apologize for that." When the mgr came to our table and asked how everything was, I told her, it was ok, but we had a few mess ups but they had been resolved. She told us, if anything as small as a hiccup happens to let her know ASAP. The two of us never complain at restaurants so we let it go for the time being. The last straw for me was when we had to chase her down for a box and our check. And even then she had another waitress bring us our check. It was then that I asked for the manager. She came over, we explained what happened and she was flabbergasted. I intentionally waited until after we paid to complain because i didn't want her to think we were out for a free meal. She ended up giving us a $50 gift card to come back, so we can see that this experience wasn't normal. This is the only reason we will return.

They def deserve the highest stars at least from us. We had been contemplating going to them since they first opened up and even did a walk in and checked out the menu. First thought, over priced and probably just ok/mediocre food. They always had a crowd and stayed packed. Then my parents and daughter went a few months ago and they said it was really good. Well my husband made RSVPs for us to go for my 32nd bday. When I found out where we were going, I was like ugh. Great. So we were sat after 5 mins, next to the window with a great view. Our server, Matt, was friendly, personable and greeted us and even schooled us with some Redstone knowledge about where it's based in Minneapolis and yada yada (I asked) and the kid knew his stuff. I was impressed bc he wasn't just a server just trying to make a descent tip. So we ordered early for the kids and appetizers for myself and hubby. Got my 4 yr old, the rotisserie chicken with fries (kids portion), 10 yr old had the general tso turkey burger with mac n cheese. They crushed the food so that in itself tells you it was good. My daughter hates Cole slaw and will not eat broccoli any other way than steamed and buttered. Oh, she ate the slaw AND the broccoli on that turkey burger. I had the buffalo shrimp, (half order 3) and omg... I've had buffalo shrimp but NEVER like that! It was absolutely amazing! My husband had the buffalo wings and he said it was very good, he said the sauce tasted almost as if it was made in house. He crushed his wings. Then for my main course, I had the pesto halibut. Dee.Lish.Us!!! Everytime I've had halibut it's overcooked and dry and just doesn't work. They paired it with spinach and golden potatoes that were layered underneath the halibut all in the Thai chili sauce. Although I ate it all together with each bite you could taste each one individually. They complemented each other very well. My husband had the 14oz prime rib, medium rare, he couldn't even finish it bc he crushed his wings. But he said it was cooked to perfection! He did say it was just missing some au jus. Then for my bday dessert, I had the banana cream pie. It taste homemade and was awesome! Considering we have eaten at just about every restaurant on the harbor, the food for the price is perfect. It's not overpriced for ok food. It's priced right for great tasting food. So it was worth it. And I enjoyed my bday dinner! Great service from Matt! And at the end, I had to tell Chef Elliott about the amazing food! Thanks for an outstanding dining experience! We will be back since we are locals!

We moved to National Harbor area and we are trying the restaurants around us, red stone grill, it was not a good option, first time having brunch there a couple of omelets 40 minutes to get to the bar area where we were seated??? Working in the industry my self, I don't think so..... After 25 minutes I asked the bartender, he went and checked, said kitchen was backed up but our food was coming out quick, it did after 20 more minutes! On top of everything food was not complete. We talked to the bar manager, she seemed surprised and Said: thank you for letting me know:)..... Seem like we should keep trying the other restaurant!
